Weapon patch, some map tweaks, and JJ adjustment! Buffed (alot): IS ERSL LL ERLL LPPC PPC SNPPC LBX5 SSRM4 SSRM6 Clan HSL HML HLL ERLL SSRM2 SSRM4 SSRM6 Nerfed: Zilch. Weapons have been buffed to make them viable alternatives to the current top performers (notably large pulse). Jumpjets class V and class I (20-35t and 85-100t respectively) have been buffed significantly. Other jumpjets slightly adjusted upward, with longer burn times at higher tonnage classes.
ugh... why must they keep fiddling the knobs. ATM's I see they're keeping nerfed. Not sure if the little buff to Clan streaks is going to be enough to make them viable again, but we'll see. I am on board with a slight buff to Class 1 JJ's. Get ready for more pop tarting assaults! Why should mediums and heavies have all the pop tarting fun?
I prefer fiddling with knobs than letting a meta grow stale for 2+ years personally. Though I'd prefer new content more, the idea of a 1:1 timeline scale isn't happening anyway, give us some high tech era stuff already, or new maps instead of reworks. Maybe have a lobby setting to limit mechs and equipment to a certain era, like (afaik) there is a setting for stock only mechs.
I don't think it will ever happen. Rumors say there are only 2 guys developing MWO (if I remember correctly, it's the one developing the maps and the other is the one that creates new variants for the already existing chassis), so allmost all effort of PGI is on the development on MW5 and its expansions / patches / bug fixing... If it was not for the gulag, the game would probably be even more dead.
