_ Had this idea while looking at https://mechspecs.com/threads/bj-2-splorgy-4xmrm10-1xlppc-3xjj-le235.17612/ I basically wanted to see what it might look like if we raised the power a bit, though sadly it meant losing out on jump jets. Still, if you play carefully, you could get some nasty hits in as a support mech.
Alternate style, you could sacrifice the LE255 and a 1/2 ton of MRM ammo to go to XL300, which nets you some extra cooling and a bit more speed for moving between hits of cover. However, you gotta really protect those STs now. _
I'd definitely go with the XL. XL in a jager is a bit scary, but losing half a side kills your DPS greatly anyway (also due to crippled cooling) and taking damage has never been a jager's strong suit. Difference of 11 kph is very noticeable too for staying with the group or poking ridges. Looks fun! Currently running 2rac5 4rl20, but if I wanted to focus more on using the unique missile hardpoints, this would be a great way to do it.
I believe Jagers were one of the mechs "helped" by moving armor from the arms to the torso so it's more likely your arms are going to fall off before you lose a torso anyway.
