I kept the stock engine for budget reasons, but it turns out to fit pretty nicely (XL 255 is better, as you can complete the half ton of ammo, and you'll probably still need magazine skills). XL is really fragile, you may want to try to fit in a light engine instead, but you'll have to cut the lasers, or you'll run too hot.
