    Import into MWO loadout:

    Weapongroup:
    1. 2xMRM30 - open enemies up to 627m
    2. 1xUAC20 - support your MRM up to 615m (307m full damage)
    How to use:
Easy.... like a pile driver, or as a skirmisher, both is possible. You can push into the enemy or you can trade, but be aware you are not the quickest on the battlefield. If the "ring around the rosie" is true, use the short way.
At the push use MRM first, chained and followed by UAC20. If the frontal enemy dont got killed, because its a king crab, use the UAC20 double tab and start to chain MRM again. This will shred everything in your way.
Btw, your arms are for shielding, use them...

tip: resuscitat your founders-atlas and works also for the AS7-S(L)...

Sorry sir, pls look at the "sustained dmg per second".
This is the more important value if you drive a tank.
Would it be a trader or a sniper the max dps would be the relevant value.
This depends on how is the fighting style.
A tank needs to shoot constant firebursts to wreck everything in its way, while not going into heat shut down. He needs to twist all the time to spreed damage. A shut down mech does not twist... he dies...
A sniper or a trader comes out of its cover, shoots and disapere, so heat is not the big problem, but he needs an alpha as big as possible.

Again, 2 ER-SML are not necassary, you will not live long enough that you need them, in normal conditions. We are not in real live, that means i dont care for dying, i care for damage and kills. I also dont care about K/D, its a braggart thing i dont need. My mechs are not for Player using the american style to fight: run away faster than light... hehehehe (dont tell me i am wrong, i see it every day i play mwo). This mech has a job: Go in, break through, turn the enemy around to give the teammates the chance to shoot their backs. Sure, you can do what you want with that build, but the idea is focus on teamplay, like i said.

I think you are misintepreting what @Lorgot suggested: granted they probably won't save you when facing a fresh mech, but they are still needed for those situations when sustained fire is a bad option (e.g.: a firing line is looking at your general direction and will wreck you as soon as you pop up) or you need all the alpha strike damage you can get (e.g.: a weapon gets critted or something must be shot down quickly). Yes, ERSL have worse damage over heat ration as well as range compared to AC20 and MRMs, but could prove usefull in those nice situations and they don't weight that much.

IMHO, if sustained fire / DPS are your main concern, you should fit an AC20 instead of an UAC20:
    • UAC20 can jam (reducing your DPS and leaving you exposed when pushing, which is also why UAC are best suited for pokes)
    • AC20 is cooler (improving your heat efficiency and sustained DPS)
    • Atlas 7D has an additional -5% AC20 cooldown quirk (which does not apply to UAC20 because PGI)
