For those who need more splat in their lives. This is the apocalypse crammed into a 75 ton package. This thing is hot as fuck. I do not like the spread on the SRM6s, but I can't quite get an ATM fit I'm happy with. Tldr of how this mech works: oneshot people. Then you're hot. Back the fuck up. When you're hot, you can lay it down with the AC20. Suggestions welcome on how to make this somewhat less of a meme and somewhat more effective.
LB20-X instead of the UAC. Shave 1t of AC Ammo and add another DHS. Will provide a Smurfy link later as I am in my phone atm.
LB20 is an option, but you're taking burst potential from the UAC20 doubletap and putting it into more crit seeking, when you've already got SRM18. It's an option, I'll agree, but I'm not immediately sold on the LB20 here. Swapping a ton of AC ammo for a DHS is a valid argument. I rarely take an AC20 as a main weapon with less than 4t ammo, but maybe.
Can't have it all. The burst potential of the UAC-20 can't be denied, but this thing also heats you up like f*ck. From my experience the LB20-X is fine against armored targets as well, especially when close up.
For sure. It's definitely a fine weapon in brawling range, people really overestimate its spread when you're in range to hit them with the heavy smalls. It's a more conservative but effective build in its own right. I'll definitely try the LB20, this is mostly theorycraft until I get some more cbills. I've been mucking around with heavy small laser burst boating on a lot of mechs lately and in terms of damage per ton, the Timber Wolf ranks really well. Same loadout does fit on an ebon jag with less armor and no JJs tho.
Hmmm. Drop the jets and a small for 3 more heatsinks? It's definitely colder, and still brings the thump. I was thinking the jump value was pretty low on this mech, I kinda like that. The D side torso definitely does some work here.
