I've got about 1/3 of my 175 matches, no banshee yet. It will be nice when I get one, because it'll be my 3rd banshee.
I really enjoy how PGI has been gifting players unique, hero, and champion mechs lately. Also the free mech bays. I remember winning a centurion for an event a long time ago that I immediately sold because it wasn't unique. I got mine, and I agree it is a good way to get people playing the game. I've been having a great time running scouting missions with friends during this event.
So you did 150 and need siege, got it. I get that queues suck, but at least you have 4 mechs with which to get 80 match score, so if you get a match you're pretty much guaranteed a bag.
It's hard to get siege because even if you go to FW and do Invasion, it doesn't always go into Siege mode. I did 4 FW drops the other night and got Skirmish every time.
Oh, gotcha. To be honest, I'd rather they remove everything but Siege. Maybe make the other modes playable with your drop deck by choice, but not by force.
You can tell what mode it's going to be based on where the bar is. It's only siege if the Invasion mode is in the far left or right block on the line. That means it's impossible to get siege right after the planetary reset, and very hard to get it even later on. I've got 155 bags so far, have 20 siege left to go, and thanks to my work schedule I may not even get a single other bag. Still no Banshee.
Yeah...looks like I'll never get another Siege match. Every night I get home from work, and there's a couple hours left on the timer. It sits between conquest and assault and never pushes over to Siege. PGI really screwed the pooch on Faction Play, if you ask me.
