    Synopsis
This is an optimized version of a poptart. I've seen a few attempts at poptarts on these forums, but they don't run with enough heatsinks or large enough engines.

    Options
You can swap out one PPC for an ER PPC. More than a single ER PPC will run very hot. The ER PPC is more to give you a little more firepower when someone does manage to get under 90m than to give you long range firepower.

    Explanation
PPCs are chosen over ER PPCs due to heat considerations. You can only cram 15 heatsinks on this thing. While poptarts have the luxury of staying behind cover to cooldown, you want to try to fire off 2-3 volleys when you get a good opportunity.

The XL is chosen for a number of reasons. You are aiming with your torso so improved torso twist is helpful on a build like this. It also helps you cram in more heatsinks. Without going XL you will be forced to take a significant downgrade in engine size. With the playstyle of a poptart your exposure should be minimized. This should help minimize the downsides on an XL.

When I need the weight for ammo and jump jets I strip a decent amount from the left arm. I leave enough to allow it to soak damage when necessary since it is also protecting my vulnerable left torso. However, the left arm makes an ideal candidate to gain a little extra weight.

    Playstyle
Aggressively poptart. Your ideal engagement range is 500-675m. You can still snipe a little beyond that, but remember at 810m your PPCs do half damage. Target players trying to make forward movement first.

While this build is no longer "optimal" due to the stacking penalty on PPCs you CAN still use it as long as you are willing to swallow the heat of a 3x PPC alpha. I would probably run a cross between Cattra's Jump Sniper and this one which would look like...

That is a big pill to swallow. a STD vs XL engine debate as well. I quite like the sniper builds, and think the XL engine is worth it. not for the speed, but the increased torso twist speed.

Normally I would agree but a sniper doesn't need torso twist like a brawler would. You need sustainability. STD allows for that. I guess it all depends on play style.
