Silly sniper fun.

 

If you delete the flamer and one ton of ammo you can install ferro which saves you four tons. That would allow a 300 STD.

 

Updated thread for 300 standard engine variant. A bit light on ammo for my accuracy, but it can keep pace with the Dire Whales.

 

Might be a little low on ammo, but at this speed, I don't know that I'll get off 100 rounds... I'll test it tonight as follows;

Add in a little light defense and some additional mid-range damage.

 

The quad gauss STD 300 variant with 90 rounds of gauss works just fine for me, but i wouldn't go any lower on the engine like some of these builds are atm, will be to slow to keep up with anything.

 

It's unfair how brutal this thing is...

 

Found that if you tie all four gauss rifles together in one weapon group it will charge one pair, then if you don't fire, it automatically charges the second pair. Makes for GREAT snap shots when you're waiting for your target to peek from cover. Gives you a good enough window it's almost like back when you didn't have to charge the stupid things!

 

That might be the first 4 star rating with a 1200+ screenshot that isn't a lrm-boat.

I like how that works. Obviously a 4x Gauss alpha would be nice but in pairs it still works pretty well and for some reason makes the charge up seem quicker. A fun build!

 

In before being limited to only 2x gauss per mech.

2xERML is the better build IMO, but this is fun for more long range damage.
Really have to pick your location well to compensate for 45 kph speed and the LL burn time gives away your location.

 

The 90 shot STD 300 variant is some crazy shit.... but good shit...
