In advance, I apologize to Mods if the naming convention is off, it's been a long night and I'm just going off from this sub-forum's naming conventions...

SO! I am absolutely SHOCKED this build isn't posted... Using the PRIME chassis and the 2x SCR-C side torsos, you can gain the maximum sniper mounts (SCR-C ST w/ cERLL) and 5x SPLs to wreck anyone else who underestimates your woe!

Not only that, you're cool enough (even as this mech has not been basic'd yet) to fire your ERLL for a while and have enough heat management to fire a couple full 52pt alphas when needed! SURPRISE FROM THE SNIPER!!! :D

So far tonight, I've only gotten 4 of the 8 basic skills in 5 rounds and my KDR is 10/3 w/ 390 avg damage... Not bad for leveling.

Again, I absolutely do not understand how this is not posted. Blagg did 2x cERLL, 5x cERML, but the cooling efficiency and close range killing fire with SPLs is unquestionable.

My 5th round tonight after buying this chassis...

    Damn Blackjack...

I'm running a similar build, but with a TC1 instead of the fifth SPL.

I love it to bits. It was the first chassis I've ever mastered, and I enjoy it a great deal still. It's fast and really packs a punch, even with the negative quirks. The hardpoints in the side torsos are also nice and high.
As such, I would definitely recommend it.

At one point I was running the exact builf, one less DHS and a TC1, probably the most stable energy build.

It would only be my second clan chassis, first being TBR's.... Well, that's not exactly true. I have a single MadDog, but Haven't got into running that. I've held off mainly because of the price point, but if it's a fun chassis to run I may take that plunge. Chatt's energy build looks..... Juicy

I find there are many interesting builds for the Stormcrows. My current favorite is the one with 8x cSPL and 2x cSRM4. I also had one with UAC/20, and 2x cERLL and 3x cSRM6 also worked well for me.

It is for hit and fade tactic, but it is super fun when you can pull it off. 2-3 pass on an enemy rear and you get a kill.

Interesting, but I prefer your 8/2 build better- this one seems a liiiiittle hot.

    5/5,
I've now moved my Prime to this build after running the 2xERLL 4xERML build. Excellent build.

This is practically the build I used for the Mech Masters: Mediums tournament hosted by Ardai9 last year. I used it for EVERY drop, beating Hairpiece (SCR Gauss+ERML), chchchia (CN9 Large Lasers), TheB33f (WVR-6K Large Lasers), and finally John80sk (SCR Gauss+ERML).

Man, watching this again, I really miss the old Forest Colony :(

GOD yes! The New Colony is pretty, but the layout, mechanics, and bizarre spawn locations suck.

Dude. On sale right now (thru tomorrow?) Totally awesome with the 35% off C-Bills!

Great chassis. I got the PRIME, -D, and -B. Covers the missiles, head energy, both shoulder energy, 2c energy in both arms and one 6x energy arm. Everything I need for just about any build I'll run.

They're wicked fast, great variety of possible loadouts, actuated arms, and have WAY more available tonnage than Novas. (even going WAAAY faster)

Definitely see the hype for them now. Two of these and two TBRs would be juuust fine in a CW deck.

Back in the days before my hiatus, when the CW dropdeck tonnage was 240, one of my dropdecks consisted of one TBR and three SCRs.

The other, was, I think, two Hellbringers, a Timber Wolf, and a Mist Lynx.

Took the leap and dropped the € to purchase a prime and two -C ST's last night. It is sitting in my Garage all shiny, and waiting to be let out <with a Canadian accent, of it's cage......

Just changed my Prime (I) to this including buying two new CD modules. Looking forward to playing this on Polar Highlands. ;-)

I am still in pure hatred for that map, but even with an 8x vote multiplier, I still get it every time it comes up... So, this was one of the few builds I was able to get some success with on Wednesday. Stay low in the trenches, poke a ERLL, let them get close enough (with SPL Cooldown mod) and open 'em up.

I HATE having to run long-range builds and AMS because a new map with poor execution of design dictates extreme range and defense against skill-less scrubs running LRMs and no cover to get away from them, BUT... this mech works for it. Ugh.

The 2x cUAC10, 3x cERMLas EBJ also does very well for Polarbear Dumpsterlands with a UAC10 and 2x ERML on high mounts and massive dumps of DPS up close.
