    *REMASTERED 8/29/16*

"The more damage you do, the sloppier you are at killing"

The Remaster. I dropped one ERLLas, and replaced it with 2xSPLas, 2 more tons of ammo, and 1 DHS

    WEAPON GROUP 1 - 2xERLLas:

These 2xERLLas are you main fire weapon. Use them often, and they are on your arm, so you can shoot down UAV's, up/down cliffs and ledges, and far to the sides. Along with the 3xAC2's these are your main source of damage.

    WEAPON GROUP 2 - 3xAC2's:

Secondary fire weapons. I added more ammo, so you can spam them a bit more throughout the match, Just be sure to save some ammo for late game when there are lots of unarmored components walking around just asking to be CRITTED. Use you lasers mainly to remove armor, pepper in a few salvos of the AC2's if you need a little boost, but they really shine for getting those CRITS on unarmored components. A quick death, even from a distance.

    WEAPON GROUP 3 - 2xSPLas:

Backup Weaponry. These are for light mechs and brawling (if you find yourself face to face with an enemy). Super-short beam duration and cool-down make these optimal for fending off a swarming light. The short cool-down is also favorable for brawling, when you need fast DPS. IMHO SPLas are the best weapon to fight those fast, tiny lights, with their almost instant, pinpointed damage. And with such short cool-down and beam duration, the consequences are much less dire if you miss a shot or two when tangling with swarming light mechs.

    Original Sniper

Thank you Sir Root of Beer! Your "Declare" build looks like a very fun shorter range build of this variant! That's how I'd like to build mine if I wanted a mid range brawler, looks good!

    Not a problem! :]

And thank you for checking that build out too. Pulled a 700+ damage match just after I posted it so it should be pretty solid. lol Yours certainly has the range and can't wait to try it out...when I'm not lacking C-bills, that is.

Not enough ammo. I ran with 5 tons my first time out with triple AC2 and went dry.

I am constantly surprised with how much killing power the AC2's have, 3 chances to crit with each salvo, I even dropped timberwolves with not too much effort.

@Shock , This amount of ammo has been working for me, sometimes 3 tons, but it works well with my play style. I mainly use the ERLLas, and use my target lock data to see when the armor is gone, then unleash the AC2's, and keep the ERLLas going when I have the heat to spare. 150 rounds is enough for 50 bursts, which I think is enough, if you know how to use it. And this mech is a sniper after all... precision is a marksman's most valuable asset, so make sure your shots are finding a home deep in the XL or CT of the enemy. This build isn't made to pump out huge amounts of damage(but is still capable of), but assassinate powerful enemies while they still have a high percentage of health. Find a good vantage point, and pinpoint your fire on the critical zone. I am still experimenting with this build, and thanks for the feedback Shock! :)

I can see your point. I run my AC2s with 4 MLs instead so there's a big difference in which is the primary weapon. Playing in Smurfy I'm surprised at how little heat difference there is between yours and mine. I might be able to do better with something more like what you've got

Thanks, give it a shot, this mech definitely strives in long range combat. It is slow and has huge torsos, but the front profile actually leaves a bunch of small small hitboxes, that distribute damage very well, becoming even more effective with more distance from the attacker. The side profile is huge! and the arms are so tiny, they don't block much torso at all... So i use more of a circular spiral motion with the mouse when I'm taking fire, trying to keep squared up with the attacker, as opposed to doing a more traditional torso twist, like you would do in a mech with bigger arms, and a slimmer side profile. Never let the enemy get besides you or behind. Also helps protect your side torso and the XL engine

This mech loadout is very reliable, multiple kills just about every match. Im actually having lots of fun with the 4 ERLLas build. Consistent and reliable, the 'Merican way! Runs a bit hot, but puts out high powered pinpoint damage, so if you have a good sniping point, you can focus 36 damage up to almost 800m! A couple of those and just about any torso will be ripe for the crit roulette, and now with 3 tons of ammo and only two AC2's, you can have a heavy trigger finger with the AC's

That is true, probably more suited to peeking around corners on urban maps
