Mauler Builds Thread. Post them builds here! Also, we can post the builds in "that build forum" and do our discussions here. Speaking of which, I am thinking of another way to keep us community alive. We can let that other place to host our builds, and we start a place to do our chit-chats and discussions when this place goes down. That way our own place would be having a much lower bandwith. We are still alive as a community, should be a way out.
We have a private buyer who is interested in buying MechSpecs and keeping the community going for MWO. I am giving him until tomorrow to settle up on this though as he has been back and forth back and forth without committing.
The mist obvious build for me was dual CASE'd Gauss and quad MPL with a STD engine. Build thread to come this evening. Great news @Michael ... allthough now with the MAD on it's way I thought you would be back with a vengeance?
Pictures in the spoiler tag of good matches; I don't think I've ever gotten 7,000+ XP. in any mech - and normally I suck at assault mechs. And there's also another pic with 3000+ XP without the daily double to prove it wasn't a fluke. The event was on for double XP, but still the base XP would have been respectable considering my truly miserable performance with any other IS or clan assault, so they're good numbers for me personally even counting the bonuses. Damage isn't super-duper high for those matches, but my first match with no basics unlocked I got 600+ damage and 2 kills. I also one-shot a raven in another match. I regularly get two kills, and that's not normal performance when in a slow assault for me (I work mediums best and heavies only slightly less well, with lights being my worst class). Spoiler I can't speak to the other variants yet but this build on the 2P lives up to the Mauler moniker! Enjoy the build guys and gals, and all your other MAL - it's a killer chassis!
