Like a Highlander 732 without the jump jets. I've moved everything over to the left side as rjbass3 suggested.
Hi @Liushing and welcome to Mechspecs. Just a friendly reminder to be sure to title your build-threads properly, or there's a chance they will be removed. I've edited this one for you to suit the proper format, but just this once. Please check out the link I provide below, on how to title your threads. https://www.mechspecs.com/faq/how-do-i-title-the-subject-of-my-builds-on-mechspecs.8/
5/5, good build. The Gauss in the arm brings proper flexibility to fire up or down. Being appreciated that danger of losing the weapon quickly. However, you can use the unarmed hand as a shield. What brings a lot of survivability. Even if both torsos are lost thee is one LL left. Dangerous to the bitter end.
I like this build and am gonna try it tonight. However may I suggest putting the two right torso HS's into the engine? This way you have even more shield power on the right side without loosing the valuable HS's.
Giving this one a shot (with VERY different armor allocations though), I'll share my results once I get in enough matches to get a feel for the mech. First impression, with ZERO basics, I did about 530 damage with 3 kills. Definitely capable Somehow didn't screenshot it, but I took video...will edit and post a video later if the footage was good.
You can always use the print-screen function while viewing the video yourself to get the end-of-round screenshot. Just watch the video until you reach the right part, hit print-screen on your keyboard, pull up a basic Paint program, paste the captured image, and save it. I do it all the time, when I forget to pull a screenshot for a good match, even though I DID remember to record it with ShadowPlay.
True heh...was hard to time the 2nd screenshot actually, the recording ended just after I clicked into the tab Here they are...I did slightly better than I remembered: Keep in mind, this was the first match with this mech/build ever, so it's very nice for having no basics unlocked.
5/5, Great Build! A couple of tweaks: 1) I'd rather reduce the leg armour as there is a 17 point armour quirk to compensate and keep a fully armoured shield arm. 2) Why not use ER Lasers which have a similar range to the Gauss giving you a 45 Point Alpha at 650m!
My input on this build: Dropped the half tons of Gauss for full tons because I don't see the point and no explanation was given for the choice. took armor out of the head, put more armor on the right arm for shielding, moved 2 DHS to the right torso since the left will be taking the most damage and is most likely to get blown off and added a DHS after reducing leg armor to 45 ea. Brought rear CT down to 12 and l/r rears to 10 and brought up the fronts accordingly. Only running 3 tons of gauss ammo right now, will see if that becomes an issue or not. Can always drop the 15th DHS for another ton if needed.
The half-ton of gauss ammo is always the same reasoning: Gauss ammo doesn't explode when crit, so by spreading it into half tons when you have the crit slots, you give it a chance to absorb a crit and get destroyed over, say, the Gauss itself exploding. Just there for crit padding.
