[Feedback] Clan Invasion Event

These are like the Phoenix bronze medallions that give loyalty point bonuses. Put them in your cockpit, get bonuses at the end of match. My guess is that they wanted to give a low hanging target to give each clan the potential to earn a 5% medallion to match the shiny upgrades to 5% the phoenix ones got. Whether such promotions will become available again is now filed under "possible and probable"...they've done it in a paid package and now in a free challenge, so I wouldn't be surprised to see both methods come up again in the future for distributing these.

 

There were a few in the original packs from memory. I never bother to use them as they're cockpit items fixed to one faction, e.g. House Davion, Clan Wolf etc.

 

Anyone knows what are the best Nova CTs right now?

Use Prime not A, you need the points from the event thing.
I like CT-B for the extra angle.

Like if it matters though. Most players are long term people with the clan packages, that mans little to no player currently in IS CW line.

Russ' in-game name is just "Russ Bullock", so I doubt it. He's hinted that they have hidden alt accounts, but having his name in there would kinda negate the "hidden" part of having an alt

I tried to leave unit and join someone else to get free Clan tags, but they changed the code so that no longer works So I miss out on the invasion bonuses this time. Time to farm the clams! That said, something Russ said hinted that next week may be Resistance bonuses...so there's that...

 

Panther, Grashopper ans Zeus (R) Variants are good for CW

 

I'll echo that. I can't stand my (R) Panther, Zeus, or Enforcer The GHR 5J(R) has been a part of my CW deck for a while though, and it does exceedingly well.

 

Was able to knock this one out (yay!) and will probably still spend some time farming CW because HOLY CREPE, the rewards during this event. Using premium time feels like cheating. Out of 15 matches I've only had two not qualify, and those were squarely on me. Even then, it's like 500k+ C-Bills just for participating, and things like a team that actually uses your UAVs well can quickly start knocking you up in the 3/4th of a million range if you don't get picked off early. That's on top of the boosted payout for a win

Ceasefires and long waits or inability to find/form a group can still be annoying, but at least this challenge is designed around 12ish matches as the target unlike the last CW event. It's also nice not getting shot in the back (by allies, anyway) when bringing out the Summoner Prime(G). I'm even getting...well, I don't want to say 'competent', let's go with 'not suck' using Gauss.


For potential Resistance event, I like the four (R) variants and will enjoy making a drop-deck out of them. As stated over in the Resistance preview/feedback thread when it was still pre-launch though, this is definitely a personal preference thing. Especially when it comes to the Enfarcer.

 

I tried 4 times.... 2 ceasefires and then 2 waits when teh queue constantly reset and i never got a game... easily the most boring event to try to solo.

At least it saved me from dropping as a clanner. The chat channel for faction is decent though.

 

About to do my last drop...got stuck as IS, so can't get the full rewards. I'm noticing a lot of BAD players out though, and it reminded me why I didn't want to touch CW after the BoT.

I am, however, making impressions...had a 1736 damage poptart round in my BJ-3, and when I did well with it a match later...I noticed that when I died (it was my first mech), half my team had already perma-died.

Teammate: "How are you only just now on your second mech!?"
Me: "Uh...I know what I'm doing?"
Teammate: "Yeah right, I can't wait to see your score."

End score, I managed 2500+ total damage...he did 350 Le sigh...

 

Yes the fraction channel actually does something. People are willing to do call to arms on the planet needed.

But other than that, not impressive at all as far as the event goes.

Remind me that someone need to write a simple tonnage app.
Throw it on the links section like the Quirks and all is fine.

 

Did my 12 (maybe more? and still some time left) IS games, all 80+. Doing it with premium gave me some games over 1mil cbills. And a few really good and fun games.
