Personally, I'm all about the Blackjacks. Quick, great hardpoints with the best locations, and they fly. That's my jaaaaaym!

Hmmm, well, I would choose 65-70 but that's not an option so I chose 60-65-tons since the 65-tonners offer a great range of platforms, and are for me the best compromise between mobility and firepower.

55 - SCR right now, best everything/tonnage ratio, with clan XL engine.

Especially in CW, where you can bring out 3 of these beasts and JJs aren't as important as in normal games.

Also voted for 55, Stromcows and Shadowhawks. Great speed, ok armor, good weapon selections.
    50 toners aren't bad either.

    35 tons.
Jenner, Firestarter, Raven and now Panther! You don't need anything else.

But if I had to be objective I'd say 55t, lots of very good mechs of this tonnage.

I had to decide between 95T, 65T, 45T, and 35T... Hard choice with my current favored mechs.

Now if they'd only give SHDs the respect they deserve instead of keeping them unquirked because they used to be dominant...

50-55. Most of my favourite mechs are in this range. Centurion, Hunchback, and Storm Crow. And I guess the Shadow Hawk is pretty good too.

    I voted for 60-65 tons..

    Reasons:
includes many very good / excellent Mechs

    1) The Cats - one of the most iconic Mechs in the Inner Sphere. My first Mech in MWO was the CPLT-C1 and i was a Beast as an LRM-Support, the Cats are still quite good in a tight Team Formation
    2) The nasty Jagermech with high Ballistic HPs -> the Chainsaw Build is still one of the most powerful builds in MWO
    3) Thunderbolts - fantastic WubWub Surgeons
    4) Dragons with big fat nose but big fat ballistic Quirks! UAC JAMCHANCE: -30.00 % I repeat: MINUS THIRTY PERCENT!!!
    5) Mad Dog - the small Brother of the Mad Cat with great Missile Fire Power, both long range and short range
    6) Hellbringer - the only Heavy Mech in MWO with ECM. What more need to be said?

Only the Quickdraw is a mixed bag

I voted 70-75 but I wish i could vote 65-75; purely because of the cauldron born and timberwolf. I think the 2 best heavies in game (and best mechs overall) and the hellbringer as a great support heavy. For innersphere I think that the mediums and lights are the best classes because they can do what most clans can't and that is extreme speed and good firepower. (other than scrow which is an outlier) Clan medium and lights generally sacrifice speed for weapons or weapons for speed; which most IS mediums don't really need to.

I refuse to vote for this! :p :D

Sorry, but I honestly CANNOT say I prefer any specific weight over any other. I couldn't even say a specific Class, to be honest, as I thoroughly enjoy EVERY weight class equally.

In terms of personal preference, I like a lot of mechs and weights these days...however, I can still honestly say that my best mechs are in the 35 ton range (Firestarters, Panthers, Jenners, Ravens), followed by my 20 ton Locusts (which are amazing in my hands ;) ). Third choice would easily be the 50-55 range for the Stormcrow.

Of course then I'd have to start mentioning mechs like the Grasshoppers, Dragons, Hellbringers, Timber Wolves, and every other mech that I've had amazing games in. My lights are definitely my "S Rank", but there are quite a few mechs that border on being as effective as those.
