Hello epikt, video and your performance is very impressive. This will take some time for me to handle the firestarter so easy. I have difficulties with the configuration. I put in the big engine of the raven 3 but the firestarter runs only 130 Km mot 150.I do net get 8 small pulses in only 7. Maybe I have not the full understanding of modification. Steelbuddy
You will only hit 150kph once you have three variants of the same chassis with all basic skills unlocked and you're able to unlock the "Elite" skill called "Speed Tweak" This will boost your speed to the particular engine's maximum. Cheers! Chatt.
I know very little about the mechs your asking questions about.. So I'll just say welcome to the forum. One of the best communities I've found on the web. I hope your stay is both long and enjoyable.
On TBT and LRM. The quirk allows for extremely high speed LRM launching due to the cooldown. This puts the 2x LRM10 builds almost on par with LRM heavies. You do need more missile than normal for this though. Well, it is a quick way to level and earn cbills in pug, and to do events. That said, LRM boating is not exactly the best way to increase skills, and it is boring after a while.
The nice thing about the TBT-7M is you can use it decently with LRM's or SRM's and see what you like. Of course, it's the more expensive one but most of the expense is a very useful XL300. I ran it with 3 medium lasers and 3 SRM4's with 4 tons of ammo and a STD300 engine. It worked fairly well and had decent durability. Most of the fun I pull from the game is just trying different builds and seeing what I can do with them. There are a ton of things to try and you might find you just enjoy playing a mech even though it's a piece of junk. That's one reason I stick to solo. Very rarely has anyone given me crap for taking out a bad mech and doing awful with it.
