So I've been playing my resistance mechs since they came out and I like some a lot. Some of them are meh and others are bad (looking at you enf-5p). I was wondering with the challenge going on if you guys could recommend for me an all resistance mech drop deck. Using 1 mech/variant from each of the resistance line. Who knows It might be fun for me or really painful. Thx all
- Zeus: 9S with lots of (ER?) LLas - Grasshopper: MPlas boat - Enforcer 4Z (?): 2 LPLas, 3 MLas - Panther: 2x PPC or 2x LLas Sniper
ZEU-9S with a 3LLas/3Mlas build GHR 5N with 8 MPL Panther 8Z with 2LLas/1MLas Panther 9R with 3 ERLLas I hate the Enforcer
GHR with MPL is far too short ranged for CW - 242 with mod. PNT-9R with 2 LPL, ENF-5P with 2 UAC 2, GHR-5J with 3 ERLL and 2 ML. Not found a great ZEU fit yet but the ZEU-9S works well with 3 LL/3 ML. Thats 235 tons so could swap out the panther for a second enforcer.
I noticed your name Remarius. We were on the same team the other day and you killed like all the remaining enemies and did like 900+ dmg on a grasshopper. My grasshopper sadly isn't that bad ass yet
So I think I'm going to go GHR - MPL Boat ENF 4R - 2LPL and 3Mlas ZEU-9S with a 3LLas/3Mla PNT-9R - 2LPL I'll do some experimenting and post my progress. See if the Resistance mechs can really resist the clans (corny but I had to).
dropped in a match earlier today in my panther against 6 stormcrow streak boats. I shed a little tear
I wanted to thank everyone for your suggestions. I have never broken above 2k dmg in CW before and thanks to you guys I have. Thx
All three Grasshoppers and a 9R Panther (this is only against Clan, since you have a 250 ton limit and this brings you to 245)
I like that deck as well I find that my zeu-9s pulls the most wait. Typically doing 800-1500 dmg on its own
While I didn't go full Resistance for my new deck, I changed up my usual Featherweight Deck and went for a full 240 ton pack for the CW event. Ended up with: PNT-8Z: https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/pnt-8z-andean-cat-2x-ll-1x-ml-2x-jj-xl250.8589/ Grid Iron: https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/grid-iron-humbug-1x-gauss-3x-mlas-std225.5917/ (70 ammo version) GHR-5J(R): https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/ghr-5j-ghost-hopper-3x-erll-2x-mlas-4x-jj-std300.8907/ (my XL version down the thread) STK-4N: https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/stk-4n-crippler-6x-llas-std300.709/ Gotta say, the Resistance mechs work nicely in CW with their hitboxes. My Panther never did less than 800 damage, except one match where I sacrificed it to get an O Gen down, and the GHR never did under 1200 even in a stomp. Very nice work from those mechs.
Have also seen the Resistance mechs do really in CW and am tempted to try them out. The Grasshopper in particular seems to be harder to take down for hitbox reasons, and the Zeus's armor bonuses definitely shine. I'm a bit less enthused by the Enforcer, but if your team actually coordinates I had the privilege of watching one uber-dakka use all his ammo and eject because he was at 35% and had managed to burn all his ammo (and most of it on a target) and the JJs were critical to that. Panthers don't bring quite the speed or ECM you'd want, but survive long enough to keep their damage up. What's tempting me now is the Phoenix mechs I've been using are getting close to mastered, the loyalty bonus is small in practice, and a full Resistance comes out to 235. Lots of potential, especially in IS/IS territory fighting. So much ER-LL fire during the Prove Your Worth event. I'm pretty sure my eyes have blue after-image burned in ;-; Grasshopper w/ 3-4 ERLL and Zeus with 5-6 ERLL will wreck your shit, man.
The real allure of the Panther, especially with the 8Z, is that it has a great burn time quirk for lasers. Good enough that I was actually poptarting with my LLas in CW quite easily
Who new the Resistance mechs would do well in CW. I find they are more effective in CW then in group que. But I guess its all in the name of the pack.
