Right... Misery yeah terrible mech and wouldn't pilot it..... (not a fan of the 5M tbh but 4N is a good mech) Oxide and Huginn are both good as well. Pirates Bane is a TEAM player unlike the 1E. Hint Hint.... I know you all like to use ECM to solo in safety but heres a scary concept. Try protecting your team with it. The Direwolves will love you for a start if they have any braincells. Another for that unfashionable team concept.... the Jester is great - a mini Stalker 4N with dual AMS and jump jets. Takes skill as you need to protect that XL engine. Only slight negative relative to the 4N is you can't take advantage of the 3 LL change as you'll have 4 LL so paired and quad. TDK works nicely - I got a series of 4 kill battles yesterday. Most importantly... once you have everything mastered and xp is irrelevant outside a competitive match those + c-bill mechs become invaluable as all you're doing is grinding for the next stuff as I am now. Edit: PS: I was being sarcastic about the Misery being terrible.... basically the 4N's advantage is range the Misery has massive brawling firepower in my build. At brawling range that 4N is dead meat.
I shield with my PB when I can...but if your team is made of donks, sooner or later you need that firepower
Ok yeah you always need it in truth but in 95% of games all the ECM runs away and ignores their teams... I call them the "incompetent solo players".
Until PGI implements some sort of "ECM Shielding" bonus for people to get CB/XP from, it will continue.

So far all my matches counted, but it's weird...they showed up completely out of order. The dates on my light games jump from 3/14 to 3/15 and back randomly heh. Whatever. Just PGI being PGI Nothing to see here.
That would be stupid though as clan have the only heavy ECM and are now getting 3 good ECM boats... would just be a reward for being clan and playing easy mode.
Gotta make a sacrifice Either give ECM a bonus for helping the team, or expect people to keep faffing about on the map like idiots
You'd better believe that thing is awesome . . . that brawling power. My latest build for it, because I was getting tired of sitting outside of my AC20's range. So I brought pulses to go with it, so that I'm FORCED to push up to close quarters. And I haven't been disappointed; this thing has such a great pin-point alpha, good DPS, great heat-efficiency . . . I don't think I'll ever look back.
It's been a long time I haven't played that much on a weekend. I got the 12 millions for standard drops in each classes. Making something like 17 millions in the meantime, thanks to heros/special mechs and premium. That sure was profitable. Not sure I'll be able to complete the CW games though.
Im was done a few battles back (except CW) and it wasn't even painful to do. It was actually fun seeing a different mix of mechs out there. Might go for some CW battles late but I dont think i can do all the 20-40 battles they want us to do.
I haven't played a single match of MWO in a week. Its nice to take off a week sometimes. Allows the game to get fresh again.
Got it to 75/80 tonight, will finish off my last Assault games tomorrow. All matches done with the 150k bonus mechs
Didn't have much time to play this weekend. However, 1.5m extra C-Bills for the little time I did play isn't a bad tourney in my book! I would love to see more of these types of events with simple requirements and simple rewards to help push player involvement and numbers during a weekend, instead of the typical "make everyone go crazy, TK each other so they can get their 'points' and everyone goes home pissed."
Reached 9.050.000 C-bills. Seen that I have had to deal with quite some RL over the weekend that is way over expectation,... I did PUG most of it as our Friday MechSpecs night wasn't all that succesful
I only didn't qualify one match. The sad thing is, I only got to play 18 matches all weekend and some were in my non hero Banshee...
I'm about in the same boat as you, Capt. Sitting at 15 qualified, with one match that didn't qualify where I was in my LCT-1V(P) and got dual gaussed out of existence near the start of a match. Had a couple of other close calls like again in a LCT-1V where I had only 77 dmg, but managed to squeak out 31 points based on getting 7 assists, and one in my BLR-1G where we were stomped, but since I got the only kill, I was able to scrape by with 34 points, while everyone else on the team didn't qualify.
Almost done. 60/80, with Lights being left. Assaults were not as painful as I expected (I find that I am not very good in an assault mech.) Heavies ended up being the most painful. The first fifteen went by, and then... I don't know what changed, but I just, for the life of me, couldn't seem to get the last five easily. Dunno if I went derptastic, or the team. Either way. It took me about 8 games to get the last five points for heavies. As for the sale. Picked up a Yen-Lo-Wang to round out all the Centurions. Because I really needed *all* of them.
