    Not hard to get precise statistics on individual mechs mate. It might surprise you as I've found some gems in there in the past. ;)

    More interested in if its just splerge UAC builds which are quite easy to tank and spread as DWF's really don't scare me individually unless in a really good pilots hands.

    Edit should have said I find Gauss/LPL more scary. UAC's is meh unless you're in a slow assault.

    466 avg damage per match in my BLR-1S. I clicked the corresponding option as that was the question, but this being a missile boat I do not consider this stat a testimony of true skill. As such, for accuracy's sake:

    DWF-B @ 434 avg damage per match: The typical hexa UAC5 or quad UAC10 build. Easy mode,...

    STK-5S @ 413 avg damage per match
    : Now this one I can be proud of. This is my quad LPL build and I consider it a real monster,... Just sad that the torso twist isn't all that,...

    My best is (guess what) the DWF with 522.

    But I'm more proud of my stalker 5M and 3F combined numbers, 461 avg but over 500 matches. And I've run a lot of brawler setups on them, but with the occasional LRM too.

    My 4N is 470 but I didn't use it with 6LL, but 4 LL and 3 SRM4 so it's naturally lower damage, but I kill much more with that setup.

    All the others are in the 420ish mark. But I'm not an assault pilot usually, I only have Stalkers and WHKs (because they are the most versatile) and the 100T king crab and DWF, because well, they are 100T :D.

    Notice that the WHK damage is mostly from pulse lasers, so it's very accurate, same for crab dual ac20 and PPC, so it might be more efficient then my 5uac5 DWF.

    Checking these numbers I realized I should have bought and mastered the Dakka Dragon, as with the Dakka wolvierine I have a really high damage/match (better then assaults) and kdr and the dragon is the natural upgrade. But at least I'm using the advantages of the medium que :)

    Yeah I keep shouting about these gems - particularly if you have the package version of the Wolverine for +30% C-Bills. ;)

    The ENF-4R isn't bad either for the new ones but ammo is a major problem. I'm not a huge fan of UAC's though as you so often either lose both UAC's after 1 volley or after burning a target all the way down to almost dead...... so some lazy fuck can steal the kill.

    Yeah 3-4 is one thing, 2 another, they can easily jam.

    Anyway I'm using a version with 2 JJs of the mini dragon (with the xl295 I won last week) and I must say having JJs on this kind of mech is a huge advantage.

    So even if the dragon is overall better, the wolvie is much more versatile.

    You made me curious about that stat too, so I looked at my most played mechs for average kills/game...

    Jenner F: 1.37
    Dragon 1N: 1.59
    STK-4N: 1.14
    Ember: 1.52
    FS9-A: 1.42
    DWF-P: 1.38
    DWF-A: 1.59
    HBR-A: 1.57 (and 497 avg damage)

    By far the most consistent, even though it's not the highest, is my Ember...which has easily double or more the matches of anything else in that list. Not bad at all ;)

    457 in my VTR-9B

    429 in my BLR-1S

    STK-3F is at 374... VTR-9K is at 377.. Direwhales are all low match counts and still only around 300 damage per match. Awesomes around 300-350. Never owned an AS7, HGN, or BNC...

    Kills per match in Assaults are actually lowest of any weight class. Most of my assaults only average 1-1.4 kills per match. (Highest is VTR-9B at 1.90)

    Where as my CTF-3D is at 2.14. Ilya at 1.92, JR7-F at 2.50... 2.14 in my BJ-1. 2.13 in my JM6-FB. 2.1 in my ON1-K.

    And, with only 27 matches, 3.00 in my SDR-5D... Small sampling, however, my Assaults are by far my worst class! lol

    Been thinkin about it this morning...

    ...if you're averaging ~500 dmg per round, but only ~1 kill per round (not K-D... k/r), something seems horribly wrong about that. As in, smells like lrm turrets.

    Btw the metric I've been measuring Nova success in is literally getting dmg output down to smallest amount possible per kill (around 50-100 per), but surviving longer and longer typically washes this out a bit. When I can go 5 or 6 kills with less than 500 damage, and zero assist, you know it's starting to truly become 'efficient'... getting close to that in terms of consistency.

    It could also mean that he deals a lot of damage, but friendlies finish them off... If there are 3 heavies shooting at the same target as you, you have a very little chance of securing that kill, but a high chance of doing the most damage to that mech due to the inherently high DPS of assaults. I find that mechs like the DWF, BNC, and others are more DPS monsters than high-alpha compared to something like the Timberwolf laser vomit that will get his alpha in, then evade/defend/cooldown, before another alpha strike. Those alpha strikes are usually what KILLS the mechs being targeted.

    Just a thought.

    No, because over time that will wash out on the numbers.

    Unless the person in question has really really unsteady aim.

    That's what I'm sayin dude, is that there's no way to do 500 damage per round and only get 1 kill unless you're LRMing or spraying.

    In other words, pilots great at everything (since assault, tanking/vanguarding/positioning/prioritizing) except shooting..? Mmmm... I dunno...

    I'd rather throw LRMing under the bus than question aiming in general.

    Actually it would be the other way round if that is an LRM turret.

    A chain firing LRM is usually going to get some kill each round, although by doing so your damage is around 400ish, since you chain it on weakened target.

    Was trying that to get my adder (read: free mechbay) this weekend.

    Using Chattahah's numbers as an example. Assuming mediocre aim, his victor would have stripped the armor off the ST and CT of 1 assault, 2 heavies, and 1 medium. That's 4 mechs with crit torso components. Perhaps he hit CT more than ST on one of those mechs resulting in an average 2 kills (1.9 average) We don't know his play style compared to your own or the risks he takes in a game and comparing damage to kills is no something you simply assume are correlated.

    I took my top 5 played mechs from every weight class and came up with these numbers (Damage/Kill)

    Lights: 293
    Mediums: 362
    Heavies: 317
    Assaults: 346

    Each mech individually is very consistent with the theory that Lights and Heavies are the easiest mechs to secure kills with.

    I disagree entirely. I think of LRMs as basically just asking to miss a lot of killshots. Think about it... when you get shit on by LRMs, is it usually what kills you? Or what legged you, armed you, cored your rear, and some retard steering wheels around corner and pokes you 1 time for the KS.

    Also, perhaps Elo has something to do with it, I rarely see LRM boats when I drop med/hev

    On the nose, sir! I'm so impatient playing slower mechs that I end of spraying from long distance much more than I would in a light/medium. My downrange aim is not so good. I'm more for the brawl and old meta pop-tarts. So, when grouped up with UMAD brethren and spraying Ballistics from long range, I can hit a lot of targets, but, not in the Crit slots...

    I know exactly why kind of pilot I am. I never claimed to be good. Just amusing to drop with. ;)

    PS: No. No LRMs. They bore me to TEARS! I ran an LRM Battlemaster for a bit but it was painfully unchallenging and ended up switching to SRMs and Lasers.

    PS: My highest damage Assault (480 D/R in my KGC-000-L) actually has a 1.95 K/R. Higher than other assaults. But that's only out of 20 matches.

    Thats a good point, assaults with long range weps... if they got the sight lines... then they spray the hell out of em until they get up close typically.

    true, can't really dodge outta the way with an assault. Best thing is to spray your ballistics into their face for suppression. Got the tonnage for ammo after all
