Wow, that is INTERESTING!!!! Could be the birth of an AI army for PGI to populate the queues and make it look like the "numbers have never been better". Tweeted that shit!
Guys not new.....your atleast a month behind on this one. Reddit had this a while back. Its already known they are working on this.
I posted asking about it on main forums, someone said it's from quirk test a while back? Then why the hell is Remarius seeing this in a random drop? Server issues, or some testing that went haywire?
Well golly, guess we shouldn't talk about it over here then. Here is one that shows the bots actually doing damage.
One major question I have is "Why do the bots have pings?" Are they trying to masquerade them as players? Maybe help fill in dwindling queues?
Dude... tin foil hat territory... scary though, being the huge pothead I am that set my paranoia up a notch from 2/10 to 3/10 concerning MWO now. Thanks bro.
Not tin foil hat at all bro. A tier 1 IT guy can tell you that if all your servers are located in the same data center, and you are injecting things like this onto your production server, all your pings would be constant and thus not really need to be tracked. If you look closely you will see the pings are moderately different. Enough so to tell me that is intentional and not accidental.
Couldn't it also be... test machines running different specs? I know, don't even need 'machines' but I'm just sayin... 2 birds 1 stone kinda thing for QA maybe... meh w/e.
Puts Russe's tweet from Saturday a bit more into context... And i don't really buy this excuse they posted, i just dont. Sorry..
Wow! Just fucking wow! As for the test scripts comment in that link that was linked? Sorry, but I happen to know 110% that PGI has a test server where all their QA, and select players, go to test all the new builds etc. There is NO testing on production. So, PGI is outright full of shit.
Found this lil nugget on that thread from PGI member "Justin Herpaderp" (I cba tab back and reread his name to type here, gfurself)Jamie Schnieder
Sorry, but I disagree. Two reasons... Reason #1: That post, the one Soy quoted and you linked, was from February 3rd, 2015. Remarius ran in to this again today. Whoops twice? Don't think so; nobody is that incompetent to be running test machines on production servers. Trust me. Reason #2: Jacob may be on to something with his post; I can neither confirm nor deny this as any knowledge I might have in regards to this matter might involve an NDA of some kind, be it verbal or written. Speaking as someone who works in the IT world; you do NOT run tests on production servers. Ever.
Also 2 completely different sources have posted screenshot TODAY of bots injected... Proof: The OP of this thread You mean to tell me that A) PGI QA fucked up again and it got injected onto the wrong server?... uuups B) PGI QA is working on a Sunday (i guess its not unheard of but seriously? You really think they'd pay someone to work extra over the weekend to test stuff?) Seems kinda unlikely, lightning usually don't hit twice.. Here's my little tinfoil theory, they have one 2 guys sitting at the office launching bots thru proxies etc into empty matches to embellish player stats, so Russ can tweet about massive their numbers are and how everything is growing.. The what you want from that.. If not that the the only explanation is that SKYNET has gone live and taken over...
