Well, we can't ALL be pros like you, Durandal . . . some of us have to be satisfied with less sometimes.
This match really WAS too easy . . . one of the first matches I ever played in CW, testing Clans in a temporary unit with some other UMAD members; and because we chose Falcons as our faction for that temp-unit, we happened to sync drop with some Lords as well. So obviously, this was a very one-sided match from the start.
Just a match I had with some friends from various other Units. We rolled through SO many teams that night, just pushing aggressively into them. We never really stopped moving, and we never really stopped destroying teams.
I like Stormcrows, and I particularly like this setup. The mix of long-range along with up close DPS is surprisingly effective, as can be seen during this match. When at range, I engage only with the LPL+ERML combo, and the heat efficiency is extremely manageable. But when it comes time to close, I am able to bring those four SPLasers to bear for better alpha, DPS, and heat-efficient damage. Works like a charm.
This match felt like SUCH a kill-steal-fest. They just kept on dropping one by one . . . 7 kills, and it didn't even feel difficult.
This match I ran on my alt-account (Princeps Aquilae), with some friends on THEIR alt-accounts. It was a hilarious carry, as the 4 of us completely destroyed the enemy team, with seemingly very little help from the rest of OUR team. But we don't mind carrying . . . it gets us high damage-numbers. PS: Trio of TDR-5SS is deadly, 'nuff said.
This match, me and a friend (Ronas9) decided to run a pair of Direwolves, to see how badly we could destroy enemy teams with just the two of us. Turns out, we didn't do all that bad! That focus fire, all that Dakka . . . stuff just exploded.
I like Warhawks. That speed, on an Assault 'Mech, with so much Brawley firepower . . . it's just a brutal combination. This match, I was able to use the Warhawk's advantages almost to the full extent, as both teams were running Nascar around Frozen City, keeping it fast and brawley. It was a hot match, and it looked bad for our team the first half of the match; but we were able to turn it around in the end.
One of many matches in my Stormcrow-Prime Laser-Vomit setup. What made this match stand out though, was the complete lack of kills on my part; top damage, 12 assists. I think . . . somebody . . . has been stealing all my kills!
EmP and Lords? You think they can't be killed? You think they can't lose? Here's proof that they CAN, and do . . . when the opposing team actually makes an effort to win, as our team did this match . . . though you might say I carried . . . a bit.
Good shit, bro. Just "one of those rounds" where around every corner is some enemy looking at another guy, etc. ps - I'm getting back into grouping starting next weekend, so good luck beating us when I'm in the group!
Yen-Lo-Wang is amazing-OP-AC20 fun . . . 'nuff said! (I really could have farmed some extra damage off that last disco'd Panther . . . it probably would have put me over the 1000-dmg mark. But I have this habit of always going for the kill . . . as quickly as possible. )
Sometimes, you just can't carry enough . . . Firestarter-A with SPLs on Alpine, 1000 damage and 5 kills. And we still lost. Edit: This was yet another great match on Alpine in my Firestarter-A (though this time on my Alt account). And this time, I actually managed to carry my team to victory . . . or they followed me . . . whichever is the case.
That Atlas . . . I felt sure I was dead the moment I turned that corner alone and found myself face-to-face with a 100% health Atlas. My Banshee was already sore enough from fighting all his friends, so I figured I was doomed to die at his metal hands --- but I gave that fight all the effort I had left in my 'Mech, and somehow I managed to survive AND solo-kill him . . . it sure had my heart pumping though!
Week 1: Week 2: These videos record three matches (the second video is a double-feature ) out of several great wins that our Mechspecs 12-man groups had on our last two Friday-Night scheduled drops. All three matches were against an opposing 12-man (the two in the second video were against the SAME 12-man) and as you can see, our success rate is quite high. And our fun-rate? Through the roof.
Figured now that I'm back to playing MWO with some regularity, I may as well record and upload some vids. Cuz why not, right? Here's a match I dropped a couple nights ago in Solo queue, just goin' casual. Never figured on doing that much damage with just 4 SRM6s --- but then again, it almost seemed as if the enemy 'Mechs were lining up, just to get their helping of Missiles-to-the-Face! And here's yet another excellent match in my Banshee-3M. It goes without saying that 'Mech is a beast and a Lazer-Monster . . .
