If he would be using XL then the speed would be at least reasonable for a slow medium. And if he swap to AC5 instead it is quite playable.
Well 1DC is quirked nicely for AC5's but amusing that a very odd KFX build beat it. I don't use the 1DC though for just the reason mentioned there - not enough tonnage for ammo. Want a med AC5 boat... Wolverine 6R works very nicely if you can protect the arm.
Look at the enemy's loadout... and then look at the scoreboard... this was what it simply boiled down to, the BJ only had 1 bullet left for the final fight... watching that BJ die was brutal, really. I had to stand up and take a break after that shit.
In honour of your comment.... But check the comments to the top left...... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we have a Locust thats so underpowered I'm baffled...
Hey I'm a convert after watching him kill a TBR! Was actually interesting as seen a setup like that before. He paired with another mech and they were knocking off person after person in the second half of the game.
Remember children if you bring builds like this: This will happen: I nicely directed them here to get some good fits as he was experimenting. PS: No I didn't do any better as I got repeatedly gaussed.
I've actually seen similar builds on the 3L that worked very well, but his engine looks too small to make it work. The best ones usually pop in a couple SRM4's and 3 MLas with an XL295, and there's still room for the ECM. Makes a capable light hunter if you play it right, though I keep my Raven as a sniper since I know how to play it better. If he bumped up the engine to max, I bet you could actually get some decent capability out of that (I left a BAP out of this, but you could easily use the ECM to counter to make up for it) Or with BAP:
3x MLas + 2x SSRM2 @ max engine was THE go-to build on the 3L for more than a year. The combination of speed, ECM and the SSRMs (back then they always went for the CT) made it the most hated mech on the battlefield.
