Heat requirements? Armor requirements? Who cares! There's also this one - Not pinpoint, but all FLD with no ghost heat
165 is a lot of damage, but it's really 110 to one location and 55 spread. If only it was all to one spot, anything short of a fresh 100 ton mech would melt in one shot.
That's still like getting hit SIMULTANEOUSLY by SIX Gauss rifles and 32 SRMs in the chest from a range of 800m. Terrifying. My current troll build is this - Tap UACs/7ERSL and 0.5s later tap UACs again with the other 6ERSL for 125 damage in 1.5s and generally you can pop another 6 lasers and a double tap of UACs again for a grand total of 215 damage in under 5 seconds.
60.3 of 68.4 heat 109 and enough heat left over for the UAC 20 double tap for the coup de grace. 112 damage - 7+1+37.2+24.36 = 69.56 of 70.08 115 damage with room for a tag/flamer 10+10+7+1+37.2 = 65.2 of 68.4 117 damage - 1+1+37.2+28.03 = 67.23 of 70.08
Does not meet the requirement, outside I run this build, its hot, but equally hammerish. I have dumbfired the 40 700 out and spooled up the gauss and let those fly as the missiles land. Its truly spectacular.
I'm trying to figure out where people are getting their numbers for the heat capacity of a given build. For example, assuming an Elite 'Mech pilot, a 15 heat sink DW lists at either 66.6 Heat Cap in Smurfy's weapon lab, or 55.8 in Li Song's. Have these numbers changed that much since ~March 2015? Does anyone know why Smurfy and Li Song list the Heat Caps so far off from each other? Which one is correct?
Heat capacity has been messed with a bit lately. The amount of capacity that Clan DHS gives you is now different than IS DHS as well as IS SHS have been changed. I think Smurfy's is more correct. 15 C-DHS should be, according to my knowledge, 66.6 with double basics. Li Song's might be assuming a few things incorrectly now that PGI has made it confusing. I've been trying to get an official dev answer for the heat values... In my spreadsheet, and with lots of research, the rule for calculating capacity is: Inner Sphere DHS Capacity 30 + (# of True Doubles * 2.00) + (# of added Doubles * 1.5) Inner Sphere DHS Dissipation (# of True Doubles * 0.2) + (# of added Doubles * 0.14) Clan DHS Capacity 30 + (# of True Doubles * 2.00) + (# of added Doubles * 1.1) Clan DHS Dissipation (# of True Doubles * 0.2) + (# of added Doubles * 0.15) So, in essence, Clan Double Heat sinks each add less capacity for extras, but add more dissipation per heatsink than Inner Sphere. Inner Sphere DHS add more capacity per heatsink, but less dissipation. I'm not 100% these are all the correct values anymore, but it's my best assumption based on the last changes and how it was worded in the patch notes and going off the previous known values. Lastly... this thread is VERY out-of-date....
