Is everyone squared away with their 240 ton team? Just saw the trailer earlier and realized 'oh hey CW is actually happening...' And I do not have a drop deck to speak of.... I want to squeeze a King Crab in there but that really hurts... Thinking King Crab, 2x BJ's and a Centurion or Hunchback. Otherwise no assault and go Jagers... Feels like college where I kept putting off homework.
Hint.... I've not found any ammo resupply method and JJ are really useful. Second hint... when you die you'll need to catch up (speed). Third hint: The turrets hit hard - LL... Kill them as when shooting some areas you have to turn your back to them... you will die. Fourth hint: Organise in team chat or you will lose if you're not a 12 man. Fifth hint: One of the two battlefields is TT type heat. Sixth: Defenders have a great advantage seems to be as there are some horrible chokepoints.
What is this voodoo. This ammo business smiles upon laser vomits yay... Edit: wtf community warfare is LIVE?!
Just did my first drop....Crazy framerate issues for most of the drop. But, happily, we won going away.
First CW game was amazing! Did over 1700 damage in my Timberwolf, lol. Ammo becomes a much bigger concern thats for sure, I spent a large part of the match without missles, will have to adjust mechs accordingly edit Didn't realize it was a running total, so it was only like 1400 something the TW
My current dropdeck Warhawk with 4 x cERLL and 2 x cLRM15 Stormcrow with 2 x cERLL and 4 x cERML Timberwolf with 2 x cERLL, 2 x cLRM15, and 4 x cERSL Mist Lynx with 4 x cERML
My drop deck looks like this for now: Raven 3L (First) Jenner F Ember Cicada 3M Only had time for 1 match before work, but broke 1200 in my Raven. There was a point where I checked, and realized I was the only person who hadn't lost a mech yet Did lose the Raven by the end, but that was all. Bragging screenshot time! With all the post-game bonuses, came out just under 1 mil CB for the match. The cold map is MADE for Sniper Ravens to defend, they spent the entire match trying to kill my Raven. When they finally got it, there were only about 15 of their mechs left able to drop, and while I only got 4 raven kills, I tore the shit out of them. Very fun, want to play more, but work
Grimm be rollin' a Murder of Ravens, Yo. Actually, I'm thinking Dragon, Centurion, Raven, Oxide I'm looking forward to Christmas vacation and getting some time to play this once they smooth some of the initial shit out.
Well, I've stumped myself. I've always been a light pilot, but my favorites are all <35. So, in order to play the Mechs I want, I need to find myself a medium Mech. I have not enjoyed much of any of the Mediums I've played, and a good many of them aren't even elited. So which one should I take? I calculate that I would need a 55, but they all (Griffin & SHD) feel so large and clunky. PGI why no love for lights!?!!?
That got me too, I wanted to take a FS9-E, JR7-F, RVN-3L, and SDR-5D, but the Spider was 5 tons too light. That's why I have my Cicada 3M in there instead...and in hindsight, it works very well! Two snipers and two skirmishers makes for a hell of a team, assuming my Raven ever frigging dies hehe
That really is the answer there. Those 55 tonners can have huge engines in them that you never really see. You could be that guy, though! Slap a fat engine in there and it will run, like, 110 KPH and feel almost like a light. Won't help you with the large part, though. On the plus side, those 55 ton mechs do have some agility quirks to make them not as sluggish.
Or... push it up to 60 tons and take a Quickdraw. A lot of people don't like them, but they are one of my favorite heavies out there. You can run some pretty agile builds on them if you want.
I've never actually tried a QKD...but for a 60 ton mech, I'd be a lot more eager to hop into a Dragon at this point. Just in time for them to nerf the 1N, that is Too bad the Dragon Mastery Pack doesn't include the 1N
