I like Steiner If nothing else, it gives a better idea of the fittings for the reward Crab. 2B on each arm, 1/2E and an AMS in the RT, 1M (15 tubes) and an AMS in the LT. Decent fitting imo. I haven't played any IS mechs since the quirk run, focusing on getting all clan mechs up and working for CW. So I'm not really in a position to comment on them.
I hope the Gauss quirk is that is has no charge time and acts like the old Gauss. That - that I would be ok with.
THIS. At least we get to beta-test it. I mean, we can see what they have done. Before that it is just words... Now lets just hope that everyone give reasonable feedback to them on this one.
Lol bad man.... *tries to work out if he's a competitive hardliners, noobs, troll, etc* Hey I got promoted to a "etc"! In fairness they probably think we're all extremists as we chase good builds and advocate them to others. I having a more positive spin would say we want every player to be educated and able to make their own carefully reasoned choices, and if necessary be able to argue them. We are the very definition of equality!
Remarius what I'm saying is that my entire Unit is not actively posting on the forums. I did 2 times and it was nonsense. the forum community is not representative of the player base because it is a separated "community" WITHIN the player base you are not an "etc", you are a VIP of sorts but that is also a small group
now If the UAC5 will be 50% or close like the 1N (and I guess this is going to be the value, because you can only mount 1) off one can mount that and and AC5 with half bonus and cooldown module and still dakka dakka quite well. the total reduction for the uac5 would be 55% and for the AC5 42% so they would not fire too much off time, and one would get the opportunity to double click when needed.
probably because people on the forums were complaining about how much AC2 suck Ok I went too far I'm off, my planet needs me!
The Dragon-5N change.... wow. That's horrible. Why couldn't they just increase the buff numbers for the AC2!? Extreme velocity buff and heat reduction would have done that mech WONDERS.
Well, why not keep the AC2 Quirks and replace the ERLLas-Quirks by some other ones? AC2s are not very popular, and there are too few of Mechs now with AC2 Quirks to make them enjoyable again. Bad choice. Gauss Quirk on the GI? Only suiciders try fragile Gauss Rifles on the big Hunch. Why not AC2 Quirks to use both of the Ballistic HPs? For a build like this: I don't understand these decisions. Hope there are no other silly replacements.
That Steiner King Crab is kinda sexy looking. I'm glad to see more and more faction specific paint jobs coming out.
They should make them weapon group buffs so people still get some choice of which weapon you want to use like srm buff over just a srm 4 buff. I would be great to still encourage choice while giving IS mechs some sharper teeth.
I just don't see most IS mechs now needing teeth if you use them appropriately. There are some distinctly weaker ones that definitely need tweaks but most are now nice. You can already get half of the bonus by using other related weapons - e.g the missile base quirks allow ANY short, long or guilde missile use at half bonus or one specific weapon at full bonus. For example: JM6-S Additional Structure (LT&RT) +7 AC/2 Cooldown +7.5% Ballistic Weapon Cooldown +7.5% AC/5 Velocity +7.5% Ballistic Weapon Velocity +7.5% Ballistic Weapon Range +10% Ballistic Weapon Cooldown +7.5% You really could use this chassis for AC 2's with 15% cooldown, 7.5% velocity, 10% range and AC5's with 15% velocity, 7.5% cooldown, 10% range. Reality is most people are using the chassis as dual gauss or dual AC20 as you gain Ballistic Weapon Cooldown +7.5%, Ballistic Weapon Velocity +7.5% and Ballistic Weapon Range +10% on a formerly already powerful focused build. You literally won't get better for those dual weapons as Russ does play the game.
lol, first thing that came to mind when reading the update was: Aw, poor epikt gets his triple AC2's trashed again. (I like that build and still run it anyway, minmax be damned.)
Well, depends. When they nerfed they AC/2's rate of fire it wasn't all about the min/max, the feeling too was not the same. This thing must shoot fast! I just hope the half quirk will be enough to keep the dakka alive. (or who knows? maybe the UAC quirk will be so insane it would work to mount a single UAC)
Actually the current quirk you can do 2x UAC5, which is ok. Gauss Quirk can be good I guess, depending on how they do it. If it is no recharge or something like then it is well worth it.
