It does things... lots of things... BIG things... and EXPENSIVE things. It's a destroyer class vessel so if there is a parallel to the real world that tells you what it can do.

Terrestrial based Destroyer = lots of guns
Space based Destroyer = lots of guns

So what was the Idris Corvette aimed at?

 

People with too much money! Now the Destroyer is aimed at people with WAY too much money.

 

Most importantly.... is it able to land/log off?

Just remembered that above a certain size they can't.

 

It comes with LTI so as long as you don't spend big dollars customizing it you will always get it back in the shape it was when it came out of the factory. Imagine how huge one of these would be though? How awesome it would be to have like a Battlestar type ship where people have quarters and mess decks and all the rest. Still, $2500 is a bit insane.

 

I agree. My doubt is that unlike the Idris its got all the good stuff stripped off and if you lose it as its logged in permanently you have to wait till its replaced.

Ever since i saw that beauty i knew i had to own it.

Just to set you peasants minds to rest,
- Yes i'm looking at trying to pledge for one.
- Yes i am well aware that there's a BIG chance i wont get one. (YES i think there are enough crazy's in the community that they will sell all 200 of them)
- Yes i'm a bit of a nutter, but ever since they first showed the concept images of the Javelin i known i'd want to own that beauty.
- Yes, my plan is to TRY to get one and ingame start to equip it, also to convert my Idris-P into a Idris-M.

The team at CIG has said that the cutoff for persistent universe objects will cut of at the destroyer. So a destroyer is not a persistent ship but anything bigger than that is.

Ahhhh I already have both. I've been very very tempted to get a second one.

 

It's the F7A upgrade that you can not get. This is the military geometry for the ships. You can get a F7M upgrade or pack but not the real F7A upgrade to it.

 

The geometry one was a Veterans day special ... I donated to get 2.

I bought 2 Super Hornets at the same time with the intention of converting one for the EWAR role. If not needed I'll melt the second to put towards something else.
