Another random question: did they ever fix missile tubes? For example, when I played, the AWS-8R had 15 tubes per side, which meant LRM20 was 15+5, but you could fire off 2xLRM15 from the same side at the same time. Did they fix it so the LRM15s go off separate, or are they still together?
Also: how am I supposed to catch up? When I started playing, there were 4 lights, 3 mediums, 3 heavies and 3 assaults. It was daunting then trying to level everything up!
Don't recall, can check in a bit. EDIT: The AWS-8R has 2x15 tubes per sidetorso so a quad LRM15 launches 60. A LRM20 launches 15+5 missiles, just had a quick trip into the testing grounds. Catch up how? On mech collecting? If you want tips on how to get premium time (giveaways, tournament, challenge wins now on Halloween) or earn max per match with current rewards, we can help yah there.
I just meant I was barely catching up on collecting and mastering back then. How am I supposed to now that there are 39 mechs instead of 11, if I could barely keep up back then with even more free time than I have now (50+ hr/wk then vs 20 hr/wk now if I dedicated myself again).
Well, install multiple game copies and accounts, then start them in low res and setup a macro to input the same commands to every instance and then... Ok, even I have to post some senseless and humorous things sometimes.
To master all chassis that would be simultaneously running over a hundred copies of the game... Hand me the liquid nitro cooling tank and a bottle of mt dew!
So I finally started up last night. In one match someone goes "oh, it's the infamous Skribs. I used to use a lot of your builds from Mechspechs!"
That reminds me of a guy in WoW when I still played that we just called "The Zins"...he had characters named Azin, Bzin, Czin, etc across 7 accounts. 6 mages, one priest leading them. The mages would cast the same AOE at the same time, and clean their way through groups nonstop until someone managed to fear them and screw up their grouping. It was downright nasty. Thankfully, that would never work in MWO They'd TK one another instantly hehe
In WoW I usually saw shamans, combination of a Resto shaman with Chain Heal and a bunch of others with Chain Lightning. Usually it was 5 (1 resto and 4 ele) so they could stay in 1 group. I think it'd be funny if someone did that in a FPS game where there is no character collision. Run like 4 guys in CS and get AKs on each of them. Single shot from each and target is gone.
Why didn't anyone warn me that UI 2.0 sucked more than a black hole? Also, regarding my conundrum catching up, how many more mechs are they going to put in?
LOLz. I don't foresee them ever stopping to put mechs in. It has proven to be an exception money making measure for them.
UI2.0 has improved from a POS to a functioning UI. It still has bugs, but at least it works now. They are releasing a wave 2 of the clan invasion, and have even released a second IS pack. Most of these won't come out till next year, but that's over 30 mechs that are coming, including the King Crab.
