Just recognised there are FIVE Griffins in the tier lists. 1E and Sparky should be the same, at least according to sarna, but are located in different tiers. Strange, isn't it?

Ah, good times. That's what I get to look forward to next semester. Right now, it's all about papers and post doc applications. WOOoOoOOoO!

Hmmm. Maybe this makes the RNV-4X viable? I'm surprised to see what I consider a quite marginal boost for such a low tier mech. I'll have to ponder whether or not it is worth it to reacquire this mech for its only obvious build.

Also, I have my JM6-S set up as my chainsaw build right now and it tears face. I sold my JM6-DD as the JM6-S could do everything I wanted with jagers just as well. I... guess I have to sell the -S and pick up the -DD now. Oh boy, the glorious side of these new quirks.

Look at the Cicada 3C too. :)

Cicada CDA-3C Torso Yaw Speed 0,1
    Cicada CDA-3C Turn Rate 0,1
Cicada CDA-3C ERPPC Heat Gen -0,25
Cicada CDA-3C Energy Heat Gen -0,25
    Cicada CDA-3C ERPPC Cooldown 12.5%
    Cicada CDA-3C Energy Cooldown 12.5%
    Cicada CDA-3C ERPPC Range 12.5%
    Cicada CDA-3C Energy Range 12.5%
    Cicada CDA-3C ERPPC Velocity 0,25

That's a lot of love for that ERPPC! 50% Heat generation, 25% cooldown, 25% range and increased velocity of projectile by 0,25 (percent or?).

Or the Wolverine 6K, the one armed bandit. Large pulse lasers are going to hurt a lot. Though I doubt this will be a common mech with all in one arm and a head energy...

Wolverine WVR-6K Torso Yaw Speed 0,25
Wolverine WVR-6K Additional Structure (RA) 18
Wolverine WVR-6K Large Pulse Laser Range 0,25
    Wolverine WVR-6K Energy Range 0,25
Wolverine WVR-6K Large Pulse Laser Cooldown 12.5%
    Wolverine WVR-6K Energy Cooldown 12.5%
Wolverine WVR-6K Large Pulse Laser Heat Gen -12.5%
Wolverine WVR-6K Energy Heat Gen -12.5%
    Wolverine WVR-6K Missile Range 0,15

Jesus Christ. TTK approaches zero. Gonna have to double the ammo you bring for all the ballistics which means we are going to have nothing but slow as shit mechs stumbling around the maps now. Fun times.

With quirks + the modules stacked on top, these weapon systems are operating so far out of their normal ranges, they might as well be completely different weapons. Train wreck imminent.

Holy Hellfire! This is by far the largest changed mech so far...on caustic! Look at the cycle rate and how many shots it can get off.

Jenner-F is getting no quirks. However the Firestarter-H is getting Medium Laser quirks. We might see a new 6x Medium Laser light king on the horizon!

Originally, each chassis was getting just the quirks that were double strength what you're seeing from stacking to one weapon system, so their 'not really wonderful' decision was always the sheer scale of the quirks implemented in the first place. Getting half the quirks to a weapon class instead of just the sepcific targeted weapon is a good boon, and getting it into game come next patch lets them fail faster, get the data on quirks as both specific and global, and iterate sooner. It's going to suck getting sniped with the new, lower TTK from formerly crappy chassis, without a doubt, but I'll eat a week or two of WTF if it means PGI gets a handle on the scale quirks need to be from the data gathered.

Pretty much what I was saying at the top. We'll see how quickly a nerf is implemented because of the whining that will ensue. :p But seriously, I hope PGI stays strong and leaves the quirks as is for at least a week for things to settle down and get hard data to judge proper scale.

Holy crap. It's good that this mech cant mount more than 1 ERPPC.

With the heat quirk, this thing has >100% heat efficiency (109% with the LPL installed which is 8 heat vs 7.5 for the ERPPC)

Edited the SMURFY link for you. Please refer to the FAQ section how to link those on the new side. - Aylek

As long as you're OK with the Firestarter weapon being so low, among other drawbacks of the chassis.
I'm keeping my Jenner, thank you.

Honestly that would be a good consideration when you remember Medium Lasers have a -15% heat on the FS9-H, so having one less DHS might still be MORE heat efficient than the JR7-F that has 15 DHS.

90 pinpoint dmg before overheat on one of the hottest maps. I don't even... I was taking off work part of next week to redo builds. I think I'll change that because no way these quirks are staying in.

It's one thing when you run into a dire lance, it's another when you're, in essence, fighting 8 dires because that's what these quirks are bringing to the table for all these mechs. I wonder which strategy will win out in pug - rushing in to do massive dmg first, or hiding somewhere in a deathball to kill any onesie/twosies that come at you before they realize what they stumbled into.

Incase you guys haven't seen this as well, they are tweaking energy weapon numbers again.
    - PPCs and ERPPs getting velocity increase by 100m/s
    - Pulse lasers in general are getting buffs
    - Laser vomit just got better, slightly hotter, but better damage and range.
    - Slight buff to medium laser duration

Since when the range for IS SLas and SPLas is 135m?
To me (and according to Smurfy's), it's 100m, 110m with the module.

Holy crap, so now for the TDR-5SS, in addition to the quirk bonuses, the MPL heat is also decreasing to 4.0? With the quirk bonus, the TDR-5SS will have a MPL heat of 3 which is a 35% decrease from what it's at now. The 7X MPL build is now a no brainer (that is until they add in ghost heat for MPLs).

I hope these changes won't make the game switch too much on the fast kills side, I want at least armor to matter a bit in a mech FPS.
