Simple. Added Missle damage, plus avoidance to the SRM Ghost Heat limit. Not to mention, you can bump the ammo down to 1/2 ton Streak and up 1/2 ton SRM (as seen in this build below). You DO NOT need more then one for it to be effective.... TIP: It's a Streak, not a Splat... Works well on helping getting the fast mover Light mechs... They may cut away from the SRM Splat but the Streak will follow....
not if they have ECM. you don't even have BAP to do anything against that. Overall, it's a poor build,
Sorry Vergere but I completely disagree. Why would I be putting a BAP on for 1x SSRM2? If this was a Clan Mech with SSRM6... then it would be worth the tonnage. Great news.. if they have ECM on fine, the other 18 SRMs still have a chance of clustering them to death... There are TONS of lights without ECM... A bad build is one that has a mix of LRMs and SRMs.....
Wasting 2.5 tons and two crit slots for a single SSRM2 that does not even fire all the time. I would say just drop it and use the tonnage somewhere else. Also, at 300 engine you are too slow to catch up.
Thanks for the feedback. I could see upping it to STD325 for the DHS at max. As for the tons, it should be 1.5 SSRM2, .5 SSRM Ammo.
Actually SRM2 is NOT LINKED WITH SRM4/6 currently. So you can do SRM6 x3 + SRM2. That would save you the extra Streak ammo and the extra 0.5 tons for streaks. You don't have to manage another weapon type either, win-win. You can try this, sort of. I would worry about the heat and ammo. A STD340 would allow for more DHS and/or ammo, giving an overall better performance, although that is a less common engine.
Good add (I must have missed that it wasn't included in the 4x SRM Ghost Heat, Thx). I will make that change for starters... What else can we tweak....
