    Today is a good day to be a light pilot if you want to get in a lot of games. I've seen light numbers dip as low as 8%, which is crazy. The number of heavies and assaults just seems to climb higher and higher T.T

    I've sold off all my spare modules and equipment and the Kitfox mechs that I'm not keeping (I kept the Prime) in order to save for 3 SCRs.

    I will be buying myself a Stormcrow or 3 tomorrow. Should I buy a Shadowhawk? I don;t use mediums often. I normally go heavy or lights.

    Shadowhawks can be fast enough and pack a nice punch at the same time. It only differs 5 tons from heavy class, and not to mention how many different builds they can use! I'd say give it a shot!

    When does the StormCrow thing take effect and for how long? I plan on getting three of them at once and then working my way slowly through them. The grind fest on KitFox were brutal this weekend.

    Yeah, that last 5% isn't ALL that important, and getting there . . . considering we've only managed just over 250,000 the last 3 days, I can't imagine us getting almost the same amount in the final day. Nope, I'd say we have a 45% off sale coming to us on Tuesday, (and yes, lasting 4 days).

    @Rhaegor --- Regarding Shadowhawks, I would say, if you're interested in piloting IS Mediums, this is the one to get. Like S7 mentioned, Shadows are the heaviest a Medium can be, at just 5 tons short of the Heavy Class; and they pack a REALLY nice punch for their size, whether you're running an AC20, some PPCs or LLasers, or an SRM6+A pack or 3 (my personal favorite) these bad boys are #1 when it comes to IS Mediums, IMHO. Give 'em a try, as I'm sure you'll like them. :)
    Also, variant-wise: I personally recommend the 2K, as it is by far the best for SRM6+A builds (which Mediums excel at); though it also makes for a great PPC or LLaser sniper, as it has 3 Energy Hardpoints high in it's Left Shoulder. I also suggest getting the 2H, as the three Ballistic hardpoints in the LT make for some great dakka-sniping builds. Otherwise, I have a hard time deciding between the 5M, 2D, and 2D2. I went for the 2D2, as it is the only SHD able to carry 4 Missile Hardpoints, though sadly one is mounted in the Head, which severely limits what you can put in that Hardpoint. Still, for a 4xSSRM2 build with a couple of Lasers in the Arms, it's definitely worth it. (It also has a Ballistic slot, which means you can put just about any variety of weapons on it you like.)
    So yeah, my personal choices/recommendations: 2K, 2H, and 2D2. ;) :thumbsup:

    About the only downside on the SHD is the limited cockpit view, so keep turning to get your Mk1 sensors (eyeballs) on surroundings. ;)

    I'll be picking up the 2K myself to complete the set.

    Other than that yeah SHD's and GRF's are both currently excellent Medium chassis for the IS side.

    I find it interesting that the two most "meta" medium chassis' are having a major sale shortly before the quirk pass. Does PGI predict a major shift in what mechs are used? Is this just a coincidence? Does it really matter because both these chassis' are freaking sexy looking?

    Not sure it really matters but its bound to be that new meta's likes and dislikes will come to the surface. Bear in min that the ability to fit JJ and ECM on IS mechs now cost you a quirk there's a real downside to them. Coincidentally... Griffin and Shadowhawks... JJ...
