The first should be incredible but I'm not convinced. The 144MHz definitely helps but a lot of games seem to be struggling with either that or the G-Sync (not sure which). After the lush colours of the Dell its quite pale and you have to be sitting bang dead on to it or the top is too dark. It is good other than that.

TBH I'd wait for the new IPS panels in hindsight.

Maybe get a ship or two, maybe. Need to find a good one though. Probably would play a bit, but mech is still love.

 

No, LTI is gone forevah unless you tap into the grey market on Reddit which is extremely expensive. I should know. So should Bolt.

 

Unless you buy a concept ship but those aren't that cheap - latest is a 5 man salvage specialist ship costing $350 which is available atm.

Yeah sadly I am gonna pass on that one. I was even thinking of melting my Phoenix down for it and swapping even-steven. Problem is the Reclaimer is going to be one slow betty and a magnet for pirates. I think I'll pass. It isn't my Serenity even though I love the look of it.

But seriously i'm happy the space sim genre is coming back with storm (SC and Elite) developed for PC with all the bells and whistles, and 60fps and no shitty ports from consoles.

My list of ships is to long for me to post, lets just say i have a LOT.

 

Anyone have any thoughts on the Cutlass as I have the original Pirate package which included it with LTI and the asteroid hanger.

I love the look of the new medical red version and have contemplated upgrading but the blue seems to have no advantages really.

 

Well i upgraded to a blue. I like the sleeker rounded cockpit and added missiles and "better" shields. The black will be more modifiable, i think.

 

But what actually is the statistical difference as theres usually something extra that the limited edition version brings to the table, e.g. a higher max powerplant?

 

I went with the blue too. More bounty hunter or police options for my day job.

 

But but..... *combat recovery*.... and its BLACK....

Though am dreadfully tempted by the medical upgrade version.

 

Oh well succumbed to the blue but was rather pissed off that it no longer includes the advocacy tools so had to pay out extra for those.

 

What do you mean it isn't included? Those should be coming!!!! They better be because my pirate pack had shit in it and I upgraded. @Bolththrower would be able to tell you more however I believe they are fixing it soon so that it displays the advocacy tools.

 

You'll be ok. They removed the advocacy tools from the upgrade but if you'd already bought the upgrade you get to keep it.I only got mine this morning after they removed it from the upgrade yesterday or the day before.

TBH the Pirate Pack turned into a rather crap deal as the docking collar and tractor are now included with all the new variants as standard. They originally gave 3K less credits on the basis of their value and the new pack gets the full 5K. So basically the skin and LTI cost you 3K credits.

First time I've been really disappointed with SC as the Pirate pack + Advocacy Tools extra actually even costs as much as the current package.

 

Amusingly they went back on that comment now it looks like.... so I now have two sets of advocacy tools

Will just trade one in next purchase.

 

You guys have em as items by themselves in your hangar or just as mentioned in you're upgraded pack cos thats the only way their showing up in mu hangar atm.

 

Not checked tbh will have a look tonight. I just presumed they wouldn't be out yet.
