"I Love/Hate the New Site because..."

I love how on mobile the names of the person posting is above the post instead of next to it. This means on the iPad or phone I can zoom in on the content and not have to scroll left to see who posted it.

I hate how you have to go to the bottom of a post in order to sort by rating, and I don't think all ratings show... unless it is just me. I only see 5 star ratings on the list of builds posted for a mech... which seems odd.

 

I have to agree on darkening the colour scheme, but the layout is pretty good. Haven't tried the mobile version yet.

 

Thats because the Star Rating thread we purchased is crap and doesn't sort in any intelligible or intuitive way. I am looking in to having someone make us one from scratch and specific to our needs. So far we are looking at $250.00 for this. Fun right?

I am working on this. I actually darkened the background because it was bugging the hell out of me too. It was too might white and light all over the place. There is a woman I know who does skins and I've reached out to her for a quote because women tend to do better color schemes than men. Just sayin'

 

To be honest, its just the fact that many people, myself included, take a while to adapt to change. I'm still not used to the current version of Facebook and that has been around for years. I'm just happy to be able to post again. Had a few mishaps with the switch-over. Doh!

 

About the white theme, it's worse on my 32" computer monitor than it is on my phone. Lol.

A word about ads: I use adblocker and disable for sites like this. I can add a screenshot later (mobile now) but the ad was overlapping site content. I don't mind ads, but overlapping ads will cause me to turn adblocker back on eventually. I'll give this some time first...

As for changing it or fixing it; I'm looking in to it but I have about 5000 other things in the priority queue so if you need to use the ad blocker to preserve your sanity, than by all means

 

I've resolved this issue with responsive adsense code. This will make little small boxes to fit the mobile device or wider banners to fit desktops or SUPER wide text ads to fit the ultra large portions of the site. I'll fine tune this as I go along but this has fixed the "box breaking" issues I was experiencing on my cell phone and you were as well.

 

Thanks! I'll try to give screenshots if I see it again. I use chrome mostly, and understand multiple browsers are hard to support.

 

The new theme is sexy as hell. Thx Michael for the change! My Eyes are feeling comfortable now and i really like this new version better than the classic theme of the former site.
