Now I'm pissed! Went to NCIX (local computer store) to get a Sharkoon Drakonia Black and they are "out of stock" with "no idea when they will get more". Fucking people! Update your website so it doesn't show it as in stock and I drive across the city in bad weather only to find you don't. Bitches!
I do MicroCenter... don't know if you guys have that, but you can actually buy it online and pick it up at the store... Unfortunately they don't carry the Sharkoon Drakonia Black... or the green one for that matter. So no instant gratification for me... I will have to order and wait.
Yeah NCIX will let you order online as well, and pick it up locally, but my paypal is a little low right now after a recent project so I will just have to wait a bit. It is all a question of "hurry up and wait" LOL
A late suggestion but I have really happy with the Corsair Vengeance I purchased a couple weeks ago, the Sniper button is pretty cool once you get used to using it.
Huh, I think I can help a little bit with that. I'll pitch a few bucks your way. Can't have you slumming it with shit equipment can we? Can't have you blaming a faulty mouse for when I smack you like a bitch on the field. Come on peeps! Lets hook up a brutha up and get him something to play with other than a sorry busted as POS.
LOL Jacob you drank too much this weekend Thank you. I'll put it towards a Drakonia Black or something.
Michael, i open a paypal Account and send you some bucks. Add that to Jacobs and you can even buy a Logitech G500s - excellent mouse and you feel better with a mouse that looks and feel like your recent one.
You guys, always championing one cause of another. Its appreciated, of course, but not necessary. I am not THAT hard off! Jacob, why don't you tell folks what you've spent on Star Citizen? LOL that will put things into perspective. Maybe TPTB were trying to tell me something when the store didn't have the Drakonia Black in stock!!! Maybe they think I am getting lazy using a scroll wheel and want me to learn to internetz without it?
On a dare to be different note : Get a Logitech M570 TRACKBALL! Yes, a trackball. It's ergonomic, comfortable to use for a prolonged time, won't give you mouse-arm, and the battery lasts forever. Cons : it takes a while to get used to, there are only 5 buttons, probably not as sensetive as 'real' gaming mice.
So, how are those reviews coming in for the new mice guys? NCIX can order the Drakonia but they don't have it in stock right now so I'm curious before I spend the 49.99 (Web Deal) for it.
Ok, after about a week of play with it, and considering the pricepoint I would have to say that I'm very pleased with this mouse (Drakonia) I agree with pretty much everything Blagg has mentioned. Some High points for me... Weight... I love the weight of this thing Shape and button placement are great Some low points Tactile on the two main buttons isn't what I am used to coming from a Logitec G5 Actually I can't think of anything else All in all I am happy with the puchase.
Some people mentioned it, but nobody really noted that it fits your requirements perfectly. Razer Deathadder is a well balanced, precise and sturdy optical gaming mouse with 5 buttons and a cord. It's known for it's bang-for-buck value (good quality for mid-range price) and generally has favourable reviews. They're easy to clean once dirt gets under your buttons or scrollwheel interfering with clicking. At some point I also was looking for a "more than 3 button, but not a goddamn keyboard" ergonomic gaming mouse. I'm using a Deathadder Black for a few years already, after switching from a Logitech mouse I don't remember - which was nice as well, looked exactly like MX510. Some of my gaming friends have Deathadders and recommend them too. Btw, what do you bind under your 4th and 5th mouse button? I have weapon group 3 & 4 there, usually use it for chain/group streaking.
As someone on a student's gamer budget, I find the drakonia to have better price/performance value. I put armlock or consumables, group 5 and shadowplay microphone on the buttons, I also use my 4-way scroll wheel as a DPI switch because it's faster to reach.
Just checked the price on Drakonia and it's similarly priced to a Deathadder here (I'm living in Poland). To be perfectly honest I bought mine when it was discounted and it was around 15% cheaper than a Drakonia right now.
Checked the price at Amazon. Nope. Definitely more expensive than the Drakonia. You could make some money by buying the Deathadder and reselling outward of Poland.
Whoa. Deathadder on amazon is almost twice the price it's offered for here. Don't get it I got mine for an equivalent of 35$ when it was discounted. Not sure right now but I remember seeing cheaper hardware in the UK, despite the earnings being bigger. It's cheaper to import a Kindle from overseas than to buy one here. Grado headphones are cheaper straight from the US as well. Almost got a used Dell workstation from US but I eventually found a competetive offer from a local seller - less risk transporting 23kg worth of hardware. Even petrol is more expensive than in US - but I think that is universal for EU. Globalisation...
Alright, I went ahead and ordered the "Sharkoon Drakonia Black Edition Wired Laser Gaming Mouse USB2.0 8200DPI 11 Buttons Weight Tuning" since it was only 60$ delivered to my door. This better be one hot killah mouse or you are all dead. hear: Actually there were very few english speaking reviews on it so I will have to take it on faith. I was going to get a Razer Death Adder since I know two guys with it but one of the guys says if he had to do it over again he would get something else AND it is only a 5 button mouse. The Drakonia Black is an 11 button mouse with different profile options and all that jazz so I can set it up for MWO, Star Citizen, whatever else I want and then just quickly swap profiles. I also needed at least 6 buttons, maybe 7, to run some of the mech builds that I want to run lately (using Arty and Airstrike and binding them to the mouse instead of the keyboard etc).
