Well, if you ever watched Metalocalypse, Brandon Small is a huge Amon Amarth fan. He said it was one of his main influences for Dethklok. Listen to Amon Amarth and "Murmaider" by Dethklok. There is no denying it.
Ummm, I think this is my new "Around The Corner Song" Or maybe this Both suit my present state of mind I think/
For some reason, everyone seemed to dig 'Bodies' from the debut album, but this is my favourite. Lyrics are a little nihilistic, but it has a great rhythm to head bang to and the solo rocks.
Last one for now. Getting a bit carried away here. For a nu-metal track, it's actually quite musical. I like the bass guitar groove in the quieter, more melodic phrases.
There was a Metal bar called Peelers down in Jax Beach I used to live at while I was stationed in Mayport. I caught these guys down there before they hit. Musically they were fine... as good as any other band that frequented the place, but Fred Durst..... My take back then was Vocals equating to the musings of a whiney little bitch. The sound is heavier now, but the front man is the same spoiled white kid from Jacksonville.... I actually liked this track before he opend his mouth.
You guys need to come correct on it, for example, how many corners does Ferris round in this classic scene (jump to around 0:50 for the start): 'March of the Swivelheads' by The English Beat
I doubt I'll ever marry, cuz I'm more into the ratchet hoe types, but If I did That special lady friend would surely be walkin slowly down the aisle with this timeless piece playin in the background: Yall musical midgets didn't think I was gonna bust out some classical shit now did you, told yall I'll carry this thread like Atlas [not the mech] if I have to Bach - Air (on g string)
Was going through some old podcasts digging for some things, but happened across this again... personally I think it's a slick Friday night selection for this thread... this is easily the most obscure thing I've posted yet, but it's early in the game bitches, just wait... Bogdan Irkuk - I Was On
Sorry to break your posting spree Soy, especially with something this relatively generic :'D But, Chattahah made me listen a ton of Alter Bridge again. Awwwwww yeah.
[size=8pt]Sub7 - I actually think that's a pretty solid selection for this topic, good song. Ok so now that the World Cup is in full swing (haven't missed a match yet), I figured I'd drop a selection from the FIFA video game series - this one comes from the FIFA12 soundtrack. I don't know a single thing that they are saying, maybe if any of you speak German you'll get more out of it, but this is definitely a slow motion around the corner track (just consider the 60~65 BPM, vocal dynamics, and structural buildup ) Marteria - Verstrahlt (feat. Yasha)
Well I'm back again of course, this time with a local(!) favorite of mine that I've been fond of for a long time. This guys been a big inspiration to me as a producer, one of the reasons I started. I think the beginning of the song fits this topic well: RJD2 - Bus Stop Bitties
