I've been learning to pilot the Victors and while I can't say I've tested all variants, this is one that works for me. Be warned however, it is a XL build on a assault but the Victors have a hard time without them. So keep moving and hitting, ducking and weaving. It's a stressful life but it can pay off big. With the 2 LLAS you have good reach and good damage all round on most ranges but extremes. It's going to be your main damage dealer. The AC5's are excellent for low heat and sustained fire, doesn't hurt they play in the same league as the LLAS. The SSRM's are primarily for chasing lights and secondary to "rock the cockpit". This is my weapons layout which may explain more. 1, LLAS 2, AC5's 3, SSRM2's 6, AC5's and SSRM's chainfired* * Here's the trick, if you chainfire the AC5's and the SSRM's then you will shake the opponents cockpit so bad he won't know what is going on, meanwhile you can work him over with precision 20 pts of laser. This is my best game yet with this loadout which in no way should be taken as atypical damage but it has a lot of potential. PS: I know the two AC5 tons in the RT is a risk but I will burn that off before long. I could place a ton in the CT or with the weapon arm itself.
Very nice. Very similar to my 9B that I run so often, love so much, and dream of when I go to bed! Great build.
Looks promising. I test it with following setup: If i get the feeling that i need more Armor, i maybe drop one JJ for that. Let's see.
to OP, shift the ammo to 1 in each arm. they get shot off less often than the side torso and in the event they do, the ammo explosion isn't as serious
Depends on your playstyle, doesn't it? I rarely loose torsos before I loose arms in this mech. In the current metagame there's a lot of ranged fighting before brawl ensues. The ammo explosion can still travel from arms (yes, it's reduced from the arms) to the LT/RT XL engine. Either way, wherever you place it, I will usually spend those 60 shots before I loose any part of the mech unless I get a catastrophic failure and face multiple enemies too soon. Your choice.
