I've played with both the Chainsaw and what I'm calling the Vulture variants of the Muromets (3 UAC5, 3 LB10X) & loved the damage potential of the Chainsaw, but missed the cleanup power of the Vulture. Thus, this little hybrid was born: [size=1em]Haven't had a chance to field test it yet, but if my experience with the "Brawling Misery" variant of the Stalker vs the standard laserboat variant is any indication, there is definitely some fun to be had here.
Chainsaw Build is still the best Ilya Build. But i still like the Shotgun Vulture very much. So now i present you the "Chainsaw meets Shotgun" Build. Blagg
Bood's variant may need it's own thread. I tried both 2xUAC and 2xLB10 on my shiny new Ilya. They play different (not having range guns in your arms) and the 2xLB10 is a heck of a lot of fun.
This build is damn sexy. Never really enjoyed UAC5s as main weapons but having the LBX10 + 3 ML backup is pretty nice. Having UACs in the arms means they're more prone to go (which is good as the game progresses, as the LBX10 is the finisher weapon) and gives a lot of maneuverability in aiming. Everything in this build is great, I swapped 1 ton of LBX10 ammo for a 3rd ML compared to the original build. Considering to put in the XL300 like this: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=54&l=86ef0b48f12d24a70f97105e03647dd3431b0efc or drop 1 ton of armor for ammo of your choice / ML. 5/5
