Yes, the only reason to choose the normal c-AC is the fact that it will never jam.

In one aspect you plan on getting close, you want all of those weapons firing. On the other you wait behind cover after each jam for them to clear to resume bombardment.

Always use the cooldown module if you can afford it as clan streaks have a long cooldown.

Supposed to be at the same time as that info was copied straight from the Resitance FAQ. I've not really looked much at fits though as waiting on quirk details.
