I understand not wanting to oversell especially with PGI resource concerns, but Quarters 2, 3, and 4 aren't setting the bar super high either. Quarter 2 – Improving existing content (mech variants - aka "DO NOT ASK ABOUT NEW MECHS") and spawn points? Quarter 3 – event queue? – more info to follow... (HAS ANYONE IN 'THE COMMUNITY' ACTUALLY ASKED FOR AN 'EVENT QUEUE'?' DO WE NEED ANOTHER QUEUE SYSTEM? IF WE ARE GOING TO FORCE PLAYERS TO BE PUT IN A QUEUE FOR SOLARIS, SOLARIS DUOS, GROUP PLAY, FACTION PLAY/COMMUNITY WARFARE, OR SCOUTING; IT WILL LIKELY END POORLY.) Quarter 4 – Not sure? So, um, the biggest 'win' for existing players is making the intro and six maps less annoying...? Cool.
Of the following items, which one is most likely to increase player population? New Community-Driven 'Mech (Community input to new 'Mech chassis choice) New 'Mech Variants Rescale 'Mechs (for fun and role vs volumetric) Fix Mech Mobility (Desync) Update Bolt-Ons (Stay Attached) Quirks / Set of 8's for Under Performers Armor Balance for Arm Weapon-Only 'Mechs (Jenner, Jagermech, Rifleman) Weapon Balance Pass IS Omnimechs / Engine Discussion New Map If you guessed Update Bolt-On's and screw with hit registration, you may work for PGI. Anyone got odds on "no new mech variants actually being released in 2021"?
haha I think we're not gonna win a lot of money, with as many people placing this bet. I just wish there was a slightly better sense of management, over the years they made quite a lot of oopsies. Remember $500 golden mechs anyone?
True enough, I forgot IGP was in the picture at that point. The two companies being acronyms of eachother makes it a bit fuzzy ^^
