I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread for posting little tips that can help you get through the game a little easier. Here's one I found last night: On escort missions, if you park a mech in the path of the APCs (like on the road they're taking), they'll stop behind the mech rather than speeding past (at least sometimes). This could help keep the VIPs from speeding ahead of your lance and getting killed.
If you choose melee, you can position differently by selecting the pointy dots around the enemy mech (depending on your distance). Didn't find out about this in the beginning. Turning mech to face a different direction to keep bulwark: select move, click on your mech, and the turning direction would come up.
