They're fast, they're agile, their armor values are of the charts! I've only owned them for a day but I love them already. If only they would've packed a heavier punch,... Yet I assume they would have been assaults then
I like how you can put together decent fits with minimal pod changes. With so many pods restricted availability until c-bills are out or never in the case of heroes some mechs like the huntsman really struggled to put together a full good set of 7 mechs.
There are builds there with no pulse lasers! Who are you and what have you done with the real Zot? These things lack punch but are very fast - use that speed and don't go face to face with people with big alphas
My psychologist told me I had to be open to new experiences,... you can't imagine how difficult this is! (Thank god for PPC quirks lessening the pain)
Any footage as I'm struggling to see how they let you get enough erppc shots to get over 1k damage with that heat and just 14 dhs?
Unfortunately I wasn't recording. Mind you it was on Frozen City and I managed to overheat way more than I should have. I think I just got lucky in everyone mostly ignoring me that match.
Actually right after I put that I got 922 damage with a dual er ppc huntsman and in much the same circumstances where I was mostly firing at about 800-900m harassing assaults so I can see it.
Ok take that back just went back to count and my huntsman has 19 DHS..... even that I'm careful with heat but 14 sounds incredibly unforgiving.
Well they're different. The prime ER PPC version is very nice with one exception - if you want dual er ppc and the Prime bonuses they need to be arm mounted and those arms are deceptively wide so I keep wasting shots on pylons etc. That said I'm getting a lot of damage even though we've been rolled in every match I've played. They're agile but theres a huge caveat that might just be personal. The turning is weird as it seems to almost delay before it starts at least with no upgrades (reminds me of the delay if you leave LRM bays closed). Really weird as I've not come across that on any mech before.
I'll give you an example of my difference - another 6 kill dual er ppc battle but no extra weaponry and on a HOT battlefield where I had to fight at short to medium range. Almost 600 pts less damage but more components destroyed. Whelp... I'm obviously missing a trick here. Edit: Two to three of those kills I shut down on as it was....
Going to update this post as I've now played a few different setups over a few hours. They're actually distinctly fun and great at working around other people. I've been running either 2 ERPPC, 1Gauss + 4 ERML or 6 SRM4. All work well. Just wish it had a JJ.
