I ran with this build when I was leveling my Trebuchet's. The PPC is used to engage targets at long range as you work to close the distance to bring the medium lasers and SRM's into range. The XL280 gives it plenty of speed to get where it needs to be in the battle and the AMS gives some insurance from LRM's.
I have a few treb's, just not this one. This build makes me want to try it, seeing as you can be a better brawler than a LRM mech in this. 4-5 stars, will change when tested.
