This is essentially using a spare TBR to make a nostalgia mech, in this case, Alpha Assault from the MechWarrior 2 intro. I realize that ATM6s make for small "ears" but I tried ATM9s and LRM15+AIV and found that it didn't work as well. Plus, honestly, the 6-pack ears look nicer. Build; What I'm going for; What I've got; And how I've done with it; Like I said, it's mostly a nostalgia kick~
But the boxes on the cover have 15 tubes!!! I did a similar build for a set-of-8 TBR-Prime for the same a e s t h e t i c reasons (and the quirk bonuses), but it's a little bit different because of the tag lasers I put on there. Can easily be swapped for a ton of ammo o.s. What I'm currently running is a mix of meta and aesthetic, 5MPL, 2LRM15, 2LMG.
That's an interesting idea, my Prime is set of 8 but for that I have 2HLL, 2MPL, 2SRM6+AIV and 2LMGs on it, that one can tear shit up. The ATMs on this build are acceptable since they give me "peaking" ability without actually cresting a hill as long as I have a lock, which is usually the case in a brawl. I won't waste ammo beyond 400m anyway~ The 5xMPL might be interesting to play, I may try that!
