First attempt to use this mech as a missile platform. Any suggestions to change and improve it? Is a 30 missile salvo enough to justify this mech? The Tag and medium laser are swapable. I put it in the arm so it would be up higher for easier ridge peeking. Edit: So after playing around with it a bit, been running this varient: Since I had more than enough missiles, I dropped them down to 1260 from 1800, adding a heat sink and more armor. The upper part has max armor and the legs have 65/72. This build does struggle against lights and being circled, but that can also be noob piloting on my part. BAP and tag is nice for support. Firing your medium lasers can over heat you quickly, so be careful about that. Edit 2: Dropped one heatsink and lowered leg armor to add two more tons of ammo. Second ton of ams ammo moved to leg to reduce chance of ammo explosion (since during a good battle, you will have burned through most of your lrms by the end). Still working on elite efficiencies and target retention module, so we will see how those change things. This build seems to do best ridge peaking and working as a heavy spotter for your other lrm mechs, so 200m to 400m engagement range. I wish there was some kind of mid range missile though, less maximum range, but also a smaller dead zone. I like the play style, but wonder if there might not be better mechs for the job. Tried a variant with 2 Lrm20s, but had to drop the engine too much to fit everything. And the speed is at a pretty good point I think (though more would always be nice).
