    This is my final Edition of my STK-5M Close Range Brawler Build. I wasnt content with the previous versions, because i still felt they ran too hot. Now due to latest Heat Penalties and 12v12 Battles, you need to priorize Cool Efficiency to shoot more constantly without overheat too fast. So I downgraded the SRM.Pods to four SRM4s without Artemis, while upgrading Engine to STD300. I could add one more DHS to a total amount of 19! The Cool Efficiency bumped up to 34%! Now its really fun to brawl aggressively in mobs.

    My Playstyle: Snipe with both LLas at distant Enemies. If your Heatlevel is very high and your Enemy is below 300m switch your Attack to the single LPLas. In Close Range attack mainly with your SRMs. If your Heat is low you can place some LPLas Beams inbetween. Try to stay in Motion to spread incoming damage to stay alive to the end and you should deal high Damage Scores.

    Try it out and tell me, if you have more success than with my other Terminator builds.

    Weapon Groups:
    1. LPLas (Mid-Range/Cooldown)
    2. LLas (Long-Mid Range)
    3. SRMs (Close Range)
    4. Alphastrike (Finisher)

    it really is unfortunate that all your weapons conflict in the heat penalty system. It really is a good loadout, and quite deadly up close. I just wish there were no heat system issues with it, as it would be perfect. as is, 4-5 stars.

    you still can fire in Weapongroups.. the heat penalty system now at it is, is only a problem if you Alpha a lot. I personally dont Alpha much.. Do you?

    yup, gonna have to check this build out. Just started my my first stalker(5M) yesterday. The build I was running is just not working for me. This build is more my style. I'll report back my findings.

    It seems like the srms only fire a full 12 missile volley every other or every third shot. This was only on the testing grounds mind you, I still need to get into an actual live drop. So, we'll see. I do like and see the potential for a sweet brawler build here. Off to stomp..

    Ya, so I realized the dang thing has missile doors. :cool: much better firing after that. lol. This is a scrappy little build. I like it a lot. Still getting the hang of the Stalker, but was still putting up 3-4 kills a drop with a number of assists. Good build man!

    edit: and heat is not that much of a problem when using weapon groups appropriately. Only overheated once and that was on Terra Therma in a major scrum.

    Seeing you in your 5S yesterday inspired me too take a look at STKs again. This build of your's led me to tinker a bit. This is the result...




    It's not quite the same mech, and probably differs in playstyle a bit, but as your build is the origin I show it here anyway.
