A generic Brawler build that fits most Stalker chassis. Very similar to Skribs' 'Splatker' design, but by dropping one MLas and an ASRM6 launcher it can incorporate a significant increase in speed, armour and heat efficiency. The only downside is that there currently isn't room for an AMS module.
Or, if you really want to make all of the villagers soil themselves, send this monster their way: Damage potential from the SRMs alone clocks in at 1800.
Unfortunately, no. I still haven't managed to get my gaming PC up and running. Also, most of my Mech experience is from Mercenaries, where the LAMS seemed to be more effective against SRMs than the ballistic AMS of MWO. A stock SRM6 pack in Mercs had sufficient ammo for 20 salvoes, which always seemed to run out during a typical match, so I often add more ammo to my MWO builds. You're right though, packing this much hurt, you aren't going to last long enough to fire 30 salvoes. To that end, dropping down to 600 SRM ammo gives you completely empty legs and spare tonnage to upgrade to an STD300. If you're O.K. with running lower armour values for the limbs, you can add a DHS to the engine to bump your Sustained DPS back up to 7.00. This increases the stand alone heat efficiencies for the SRM and MLas groups to 62% and 78% respectively, without any Mech cooling skills.
I can tell you that i can hardly use up 4tons, because of heatmatters - can't nonstop firing the SRM.Pods. Unless you don't use the Mlas but even then the heatproduction is enormous.
I used to run a similar brawler STK-5M, but found I rarely was able to much more than dent my ammo supply, I moved too slowly to spread damage, and alpha strike is a sure-fire way to overheat. [Bass Cannon Mk I] I recently started playing again and decided on the following build. Chain-firing lasers is a good idea, unless you're trying to get in a final hit. I removed the Artemis Fire Control, you'll notice, as it helps in a toe-to-toe fight but I find the splash of SRM 6s preferable when fending off lights. Especially since the 5M is the least flexible (twist radius-wise, plus no horizontally actuating arms), it's much harder to hit an evasive or circling light 'mech with an A+SRM focus. The updated build doesn't have much better heat efficiency, but that should be maintained by the pilot (for prolonged brawls I suggest chaining the SRM volleys as well, cockpit rocking is a great tactical advantage).
