A nice change in my opinion from the meta 6 LL, I like the high alpha in brawl range while still being able to contribute at range with the great hardpoint placement. 1 button alpha strike with no heat penalty is always a plus in brawls. Also, max armor, that never hurts. All tries on your legs will be most likely wasted. And since they store ammo, it's very important that they won't explode. One could do the SRM side and the LL side if you prefer more shielding ability while keeping the most weapons. First build is more for solos, second more for groups.
I am playing 4 LLas + 2x SRM6+A on the 4N since ages, as 6x LLas is a nice alpha in mid or long battles, but 4 are more than sufficient for prolonged shootouts and will get hot quickly anyway. Double 6s equal to more damage than an AC20 (although a bit spread), but usually finish opponents quickly.
Yeah but that is another build, I do 4 LL 3 SRM4 which is basically the same concept Your build or mine with 4 LL are more poke at range and then if they come add the extra SRMs. (and btw they could be added, because they work very well). EDIT, done and added another topic. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is more an alpha strike build, that can still fight at range, but the concept is getting into brawl range closing the gap as fast as possible, while firing the triple LL, and the going with the 65 alpha with no heat penalty once the brawl starts. It's built to use the 3x LL with no ghost, so now it's better to fire 3 at once and then being free to shield/cover, then going 2-2.
