The basic approach to this mech is... Jump n Shoot. Other [CW] version removes 2 SLas for 2 JJ, put em in the legs. This allows you to transfer a tiny bit more armor from the arms to the legs: Here's a round with only 8/8 Basic skills: Inspired by:
This is easily in my top 5 "should've recorded almost tabbed near the end to get it but said fuck it, oh well" matches. Last 3 guys I defanged (2 gauss Phracts and AC10ML Hunch). Yes the last guy they asked for a head shot and I delivered on a 180° JJ away from melee on a legged/cored hunch. Funny thing is, the previous round was on Caustic, and played very similarly, getting the last 3 kills, cept it was 6 minutes of clinical zoning vs a ML/LL Crow. -.- ps - not even 4/4 elited yet...
No not really, I'm not a big fan of Griffins........... ...but it isn't a worthless piece of garbage like most of my Heroes. And they're totally fine and fun that way, I'm just sayin.... compared to my other IS medium St. Ives' well, then Sparky is Godmode. I'm a fan of poptarting and this build/mech/whatever is in that wheelhouse.
Did you try the Vindicator-1AA? To be honest I'm not a fan of how it moves (I don't exactly know why) but it works well as a medium double PPC poptart. It carries less DHS but has a PPC -20% heat generation quirk, and an higher projectile velocity than on the Sparky.
