The amount of fun I have with this build lately is incredible !

I ditched ERLLas for MPLas for two reasons:
    1. Needed faster recharge/discharge weapon, more "compatible" with MGs;
2: Freed tonnage for max JJs and MG ammo.
Took some of the armor from head (I can't remeber when I died from head loss) and arms to free tonnage for 3 tons of ammo.

Combined with Advanced sensor range, target info gathering and seismic sensor, this build is focused on swift strikes (in and out) against targets with low or stripped armor. Since 12vs12 is introduced it's even more easier to find targets to take out limbs, legs, torsos. :D
Since the MG get buffed it's really a pleasure to see armorless Mechs drop down in front of tiny Spider.

I usually have between 300-400 damage with this setup and have kills with lots of "component destroyed" bonuses.
All you have to do is focus on damaged Mechs inbetween scouting for your team. Success guaranteed ! ^_^

Do you really place your armor with 20 points on the front and 20 in the back, or you didn't paid attention while creating the build on smurfy?

    (anyway, good build)

I kinda agree with the armor. I've been cored in the back more often than the front in spiders, so it's not a bad idea.

In my (limited) experience, the faster you go, the more you need to balance the armor backwards. In the killer fastback days, I used to carry a 2:1 (f:b) ratio. I've never run a 1:1 ratio, but I work very hard to not expose my backside to the enemy until I've run out of front armor.

At first I had a lot of armor on the rear (for obvious reasons) but strangely (?) I slowly moved it back to the front, tweaking it point by point since I'm mostly cored from the front.
At the moment I carry 29:11 on the spider (23:7 on the less armored PPC variant), 31:12 on the jenner and 22:10 on the commando.

It heavily depends on your playstyle.

As all of you already pointed well, it all depends on the play style. Recently, I get killed more often from the back that's why I wanted to divide armor equally to see if I have more chance to survive. :)

That's right, it all happens during the escape, but I suggest you should focus more on front Torso parts, because you will be facing enemies most of the time xD try this too :phear:

I see you guys competing about the armor, I think it depends to the style of your gaming
If you ambush and flee most of the time, equal the distribution of armor
but, it is still better to put 2/3 of the armor in front of the center torso, and 1/3 at the back.

I suggest: •for Center torso: 26 armors in front, 14 armors at the back
•for Left and Right torso (both): 18 armors in front, 10 armors at the back
    •Full armored legs
    •16 armors on both arms
•8 armors for the head (rarely damaged, just once per much)

-Protect the back torso, it is dependent to the style of your game
-Be aware of fast mechs, because they can chase you and hit you at the back.
    ie. Jenners, Spiders, medium mechs

About this Build: the 6 JJs...put 1 JJ for each leg also, so you can still jump without the left and right torso

Now you can load a larger Engine and this build becomes really viable! You don't even need "Double Heat Sinks"! Probably even better than having a MLas:

Since I have an XL280 and Endo/Ferro is so cheap, I might actually go with Blagg's version.
