I had no idea this build would be possible. Chance had it that I was already running something very similar on my Dire Wolf recently, so this was of major interest to me. Extremely fun to play, although the mech is pretty squishy for an assault brawler. Alternatively you can drop 1 ton of LBX20 and 1 ton of SRM ammo for a couple additional heatsinks.
It's a nice build. but i run mine with an XL 340 and no artemis on the SRM's with 5 tons of ammo for the SRM's and LBX's. 88 point alpha that you can do twice in a row is very nice to have
Some updates! Build is now named "Godzilla" after listening to the Shin Godzilla OST during my stream playing this build. I enjoy naming the builds now after something a bit more meaningful and personal. I've run this build almost exclusively during the event leaderboard. Here are a few achievements along the way. At the time of this post I was in the #1 position. So hopefully it was enough to keep me in the top 5 by tomorrow evening as I will most likely not have a chance to drop again. First match of my stream the other day, 1.2k and 6 solo kills: Twitch Stream Highlight 1 Butts Butts Butts Butts: Twitch Stream Highlight 2 Fun 8 kill match on Mining: Twitch Stream Highlight 3 Random 1k+ matches in this build: Match 1 Match 2 Match 3 Match 4 Match 5
5/5, Absolutely BE(a)ST build. Punches really hard and is quite fast for a pure braweler 85 ton 'mech.
I've been using this with SRM4s and an XL340 engine. Nothing like absolutely evaporating a SRM Timberwolf who thought he could brawl.
5/5, Just beastly. I'm really considering buying this guy, and 2 other variants obviously, though I think I'd only ever run this one once I had the basics on the other 2 done. This just looks so deliciously like my style of 'Mech. I can't believe I've never heard of this wonderful monstrosity until now. In any case, for my tastes, I'd probably drop a KPH, a DHS, and half a ton of armor, for 2 more tons of ammo (1 ton per weapon-type). Minor changes though, to what's already an A+++ build! Or you can keep the DHS, and just add one extra ton of ammo, whichever is preferred (I'd probably keep the ballistic ammo).
This thing became even more monstrous thanks to the Skill Tree. https://kitlaan.gitlab.io/mwoskill/?p=aec7e36c-52d0-11e7-ae4c-dfd3a949edd3&s=Weapons
4/5, Classic build. Not great, but decent. Squishy side torsos. Have to be an exceptionally careful brawler. _ https://kitlaan.gitlab.io/mwoskill/...062101830730000e86f1701000080af2703#s=Weapons When the heat racks up, switch over to just the SRM's (if just the higher hardpoints have a shot), or preferably just the LB20X's (if the lower arms have a clear shot).
Wanted to buy a Scorch just for this build but decided to try out the same build on my MCII-2 that has been collecting dust lately. Great GOGGILY MOOGILY this thing is a Monster. First match saw 4 Kills. I want to add a JJ but don't want to give up the ammo. Does this thing on the Scorch get better or should I just stick with the MadCat?
The Scorch is more survivable because it doesn't have the easily targeted missile pods. But the arms hang quite low so there's a bit of a tradeoff. Both are pretty damn good.
