Tired of assault mechs trampling your scaffolding? Does chasing light mechs off your construction site get on your nerves? Then you need the Jackhammer! Nothing says 'piss off' like 25DPS to the face or over 1000 damage in ammo. Even if you don't manage a kill, no assault mech can stay in your line of sight for long before either cowering behind cover or rushing forward to expose themselves to your missiles! (And your team, of course. You -are- staying with your team, right?) And anything that's not an assault disintegrates under your high-peeking RACs! Of course, your RT here is a bit on the vulnerable side. Luckily the Roughneck is a damn tough cookie (Especially after maxing armour on the skill tree) and can sustain facing the enemy for a reasonably long period of time. But if you're taking a lot of fire, you should of course prioritise shielding your right side (If you've played a Hunchback a lot, you'll be familiar with this practise already, think of it as playing the Hunchback's bigger, burlier cousin). The MRM and ML are primarily back up weapons in the event that your RACs have run dry, or get blown up early. Though with the high profile of the RACs you'll find it's quite easy to shoot over cover, compared to if they were arm mounted. But not being in the arms means you ought to fight at a decent distance, particularly versus pesky lights who hug your knees (But feel free to get in the face of mediums or even heavies! You have the armour for it). You can substitute the MRM 10 for 2xSRM 2s. For a much tighter spread of missiles and lower CD, but with less damage per volley. The engine is a bit slow, and as such I won't blame people for wanting to drop the missiles and ML entirely for a better engine. I personally don't feel like the extra 3kph is worth giving up two back-up weapons in the event that the RACs get blown up earliert han I'd like. (And being a standard engine I do find on some matches I'm left with just the ML).
