Placeholder until Loyalty Mechs get on Smurfy
ECM, dual gauss, ERLL's, jump jet mobility.
I had the exact same idea for this variant, i'll give it a go tomorrow. Didn't have too much time to play when i got it but i kept the heavy large and slapped a medium in the head.
If you go the HLL route, you can switch out the torso and do 1x HLL and 2x ERML.
Or slip two MGs in the arm.
One of the first things I built.
Forgoes the HLL quirk, embraces the ballistic cooldown quirk.
You could run one HLL and one ERLL.
Someone told me today that the large laser combo was surprisingly good, but I’d rather have ranges and cool down synced than a higher (and hotter) alpha.
Looks good too, but id keep the ecm in the side torso instead of the mgs. It can be really valuable nowadays since theres so much lurming going on. Guess my teammates would be thankful for it too.
TC1 is the ECM placeholder until Smurfy updates.
But I think the ballistic cool down quirk may way out perform the MGs.
Went with the 2xerlarges and the double gauss in the end, their range syncs well. The heavy large and erlarge in the head or the 2xermediums and heavy large is still good alternatives in my opinion.
Great Build for the new Omni.
Here's a mechDB listing for it
I like the way the double ER LL have similiar range , and cooldown to the Gauss. Personally i usually put all 4 weapon in one group, the lasers fire whilst the Gauss warms up burning off armour, then release the finger to pop the gauss and hopefully get some crits. ECM is great for sniping.
Yesterday i blew the leg of a light trying to harrass me, very satisfying!
QUAD C-UAC 5
Easily the best fit for the stock "H" omniset. ERLLs + GRs + ECM combo at range is exceptional.
The only downsides are ballistic convergence and speed / mobility.
